Ο νέος κινητήρας καγιάκ NK-180S προσφέρει εξαιρετική απόδοση και δύναμη σε κάθε ψαρά καγιάκ που θέλει να αυξήσει την εμβέλειά του και να πιάσει περισσότερα ψάρια σε γλυκό ή αλμυρό νερό. Αυτός ο κινητήρας καγιάκ χωρίς ψήκτρες προσφέρει εξαιρετική απόδοση και εξαιρετικά χαμηλό θόρυβο με σχεδιασμό άμεσης μετάδοσης κίνησης που σας επιτρέπει να πλησιάζετε κρυφά στα ψάρια. Great product!

Great product. Like it very much on my Hobi ProAngler 12. Great Newport Vessels company service, but sadly they don't ship outside US. Amazon is the great solution to buy it outside US. Note (that's why I put 4 stars only): not pleasant experience with Locking Pin which supposed to keep motor stady, when connection to kayak steering system is not used - sometimes on waves more than 12 inches the Locking Pin is getting losed and the motor starts steering itself in one direction and requires to be set again. Newport Vessels must revise and fix this issue.

Works perfectly.

The motor works great! I have no complaints, the issue I have is that the throttle control has no real stop when you go from forward to reverse, no click no indent absolutely nothing that helps you identify that you have passed the Neutral on the controller. I have my motor hooked up to a Hobie PA14 and that little motor moves that yak at 4.8 mph in the ocean. Fantastic little motor.

Works great!

I caught this on sale for $200 less than normal. It was easy to install on my Hobie PA 14 Kayak. Using two 12v 50ah LiFePo4 batteries wired in series (to get the required 24 volts) the motor will push my Kayak along at 5mph top speed. I have yet to exhaust the batteries but I do also peddle and paddle some when fishing. Did not hook up the steering and have it pined straight ahead and use the Kayak rudder to turn. Works OK but for tight turns you would need to steer the motor. I choose this over the other more powerful unit because I did not want to be restricted to their battery pack and wanted to be able to replace them if they failed.

It’s a nice motor if you don’t mind spending a ton of money

I bought this motor as an upgrade to my old brushed motor. This is not a plug and play situation so if your looking for that then get something else. My bracket had holes that were slightly off standard spec so I had to drill them out a little so they would fit. The batteries are super expensive so plan on spending $500 mnimim on those. My controller was only reading 80 percent throttle so I had to reprogram that. I made my own waterproof battery box so that was another $60. Honestly. For $900 I think this motor kit is a bit overpriced considering the work it takes to install and it is still manually steered. I think $599 would be a more fair price point. I know the torque do is like $2600 and so this is way cheaper and basically the same thing. I would say I am all in at like $1800 so it is a tad cheaper but they are both way overpriced for what you get.

Kayak Fishing Tournament Game Changer..!

Picked this up during a 25% sale, and the first thing I'll say is the review would be the same at full price. It is worth 100% of its cost. I found the install to be very easy, but as I work as an Electronics Tech and installer it may have made it easier, and the included info as well as videos were well done. Not having to purchase the motor with a proprietary battery was a huge part of my choice to purchase the NK180, and is one of the best features. I get excellent run time when running at about 80%, and it only drops my run speed maybe .3-.5mph. I'm a big guy, and I am using it on a Hobie PA14 360 loaded with gear. I consistently reach 4.7-5.1 mph which allows me to cover more area, especially when the bite shifts.

Purchased this motor for my Native Titan 10.5 kayak. It’s been solid so far and can keep me at 4.5mph consistently.

This thing is awesome on my Hobie Outback!

The only two things I would have Newport Vessels change would be 1) to have bearings at top and bottom of motor shaft housing to assist with the steering because of the amount of resistance/pressure that the powerful motor produces at anything above 40% throttle, 2) one more hole to allow me to trim the stern up and not down int the water. All in all, I’ll be using this for years and years, I love it.

Throttle controller had a coloration and hard to press buttons.

I hope this can be resolved, but I had problems with having to press the buttons with the handle side of a screwdriver to get it to function. I also experienced screen coloration that it seemed to get past QC which was deemed as oil residue between the upper and lower side of controller screen module. I just want my throttle controller exchanged that is all. I hope customer service will come through.
