In the description, about this item: PREMIUM WHOLE LEAF - Hand-picked & ready to sip. From leaf to cup, we ethically source the earth’s finest drop, for a delicious loose tea that nods to the traditional ceremony of tea drinking So you would think, hey this is a well rounded tea present. Nope, just the (rather thick) bone china cup, strainer and a lid. But no tea leaves. Returned and ordered tea set from Whittard of Chelsea (which includes the tea leaves) This would have been a disappointing gift if I hadn't checked it first.

Only comes with mug lid and loose leaf tea strainer

I want to say this right away this does not come with loose leaf tea It is only the teacup with the lid in the strainer. As I was ready to purchase I saw a lot of people complaining that there was not tea that came with the cup. If you read very carefully it does not say that it came with loose leaf Tea and it does not advertise that it does. Please do not let this comment stop you from buying this, It is a very good product and I am very happy with it and it has quickly become my favorite teacup. On the bottom it says do not microwave or put in dishwasher. Hope this comment helps. :)

The images and description indicate that the product includes a box of New York Breakfast tea, it does not. The mug is lovely, but is not part of a gift set as I was expecting.
