Nice Product

Works well and worth it, but is loose as others have stated

I needed a complete upgrade to the captains seat in our Moomba ski boat. I ended up purchasing the Leader Accessories bucket seat (part # 201097), the Wise 6 1/4 swivel, and this quick release item. For me, it works well. Yes, the swivel sits loosely in the base, but once your sitting in the seat, you don’t notice it. And the value it offers to remove the seat, clean or mess with the wiring underneath, is well worth the losse-ness, not having to pull up the entire carpet base. Overall, I like the product but wish the tolerances were a bit tighter.

Does the trick

I used these to attach an automotive aftermarket console assembly next to my boat seats. The assembly works to hold beverages and fishing supplies like pliers, tape measure, hooks etc. I can remove them and add additional seats as needed.

This works great for my boat. It makes it easy to remove the seats for winter storage. Make sure your swivel is the right size. I found out the hard way there are different ones.

Make sure you know what base works. The wise wd10 doesn't.

I don't know what to say about what swivel base works, but the wise wd10 that is supposed to and the comparable swivel-eze both fit very loosely. So loosely I'm actually upset because it will be hard to reverse any install I did. I have a new Jon boat and used riv nutserts for the install and if this base doesn't work, I can only hope the swivel-eze base works. I gave it a 3 because other than that, it works as advertised.

Great quick release seat bracket.

I put these on every one of my fishing boats. They make it easy to take the seats off when not using the boat in the winter.

Works fine, may require adjustments.

Size is everything. The ad is not super accurate. There is a sticker in the bed that explains everything. Requires 4 countersunk screws, m6 or 1/4 20 UNC seems good. If you are going into an aluminium sheet metal boat seat, stainless rivnuts would seem to be the way to go. Ad does not give all the details. True opening is 6.25” (6 1/4”) precisely. It probably would be sloppy for a true 6”. I bought the Wyse 12 position locking swivel. Its true size is 6 78” I can make it work buy shaving the sides of the plastic channel it sits in. Unit itself is pretty sturdy, looks like ABS or similar with powder coated steel. If it’s a sloppy fit for you, put stiff u-shaped plastic on swivel plate, or mill/ream the sides out like I plan to. It would be nice for it to just fit, but swivels tend to vary. Locking mechanism is positive. When I get this to fit, it will be good, and should last.

Does not receive 8WD15 licking swivel

Bought this with a Wise 8WD15 locking swivel, they dont fit together, the locking swivel is about 0.25'' too long and wide. Neither has enough data to show that in the write ups, on the site or elsewhere online, another McGiver job! It got 4 stars because it otherwise, no pun intended, looks like it will work fine.

Seems to be sturdy , allows me to mount my boat seat where I need it and easy to remove when not required. 6 1/4 dimension for the width of your swivel is important.

Awesome Boat Seat Support

Works like a charm. Seat slides in and out no problem. Quick and easy to install. Make sure you have adequate backing to mount this on or you may crack the fiber glass under the seat. My boat is a plywood/fiberglass composite with 1/2 inch plywood seats so I had no issues what so ever. Great product seems really durable.
