UNBOXED! Star Trek Discovery's Michael Burnham: 5" Playmate Action Figure
The media could not be loaded. In this video, we take a look at the Star Trek Michael Burnham Action Figure from Playmates. Standing at five inches tall, this figure comes with three accessories - a phaser, tricorder, and a copy of Alice in Wonderland. The packaging is well done and would look great on display. On the back, there is a cleverly named QR code that gives you access to the Starfleet database. The figure itself is well-made, with a solid paint job and a great likeness to Sonequa Martin-green. The details of her suit are also impressive, holding up well under a macro lens. The accessories are also nicely made, with the phaser fitting well in the figure's hand. The tricorder may be the first piece you lose if your kids play with the figure, but overall, it's a great buy for the price. If you're a fan of Star Trek Discovery, this figure is a fun item to add to your collection, with great articulation and fun props. Excellent!
In spite of the political pontificating of other reviewers, this action figure is great! Bears a good likeness to Michael Burnham/Sonequa Martin-Green. Looks terrific in my cubicle! I have a big collection of the Playmates figures from the 90’s (TNG and DS9 and some VOY too) and this goes nicely with them, even if the scale is a little different!
