Seems sturdy & perfect for me

I was looking for a fold-down curtain rod for the laundry room so it could be out of the way when not needed. I came across this and found that a curtain rod from Lowes (about 1 1/8" to 1 1/4" diameter) is a very tight fit, but it seems to work for me...I just put this up (4/2023), so I'll see how well it holds up.

Love!!!

This product makes me so excited! Now I can hang up sweaters that need to hang dry. Also am able to hang dresses to be able to steam them. Easily able to fold it up so I don’t walk into it when things are not hanging from it.

A Must for Small Laundry Rooms

These are so helpful in hanging clothes from the dryer needing a small amount of space. After I move the clothing to their respectful closets, these fold up and take even less space. I have recommended these several times.

Great space saving way to let swimsuits & towels dry

Our swimming pool “room” is also a rec room with a pool table and TV in it. We needed a way to hang wet swimsuits and towels to dry inside the rec room. I tried a wooden coatrack but got sick of moving it every time we wanted to play a game of pool, and a regular set of coat hooks would be dangerous with people hitting their head on the sharp hooks. So I bought 2 of these because they can handle the weight of multiple wet towels and can fold up against the wall when not in use. I put curtain rings with clips on them so I could hang multiple items instead of just draping them over the wall units. These rings (T-Juan MM 28 Pcs Metal Curtain Rings with Clips,1.5-Inch Inner Diameter Rings/Rings Can Easy Open and Close -white) add extra options for hanging stuff. Or you can use coat hangers, but they won’t be as compact as the rings when you want to put the empty rack upright against the wall. The rack itself has been used to dry a queen size comforter that got wet. I’m guessing it probably weighed 10-13 pounds and since the racks where mounted to wall studs they handled the weight with no problem. Highly recommended.

Pleasantly Surprised

Have not installed this yet but it has exceeded my expectations so far. Ordered on a whim prepared to possibly receive “cheap” plastic junk - but pleasantly surprised with the sturdiness of it. Will work perfectly for our needs. Not sure it would be ok with a full load of very heavy coats? But it honestly feels like it could.
