Very good for the money

I bought this cart for two reasons: 1) It was the cheapest one by a hundred dollars that had the features I need 2) I've got a screwed up back. I can't go much of anywhere without a chair to collapse into and that's a problem at the beach. I've used it on three trips now and with some modifications it works just fine. I had a few easily correctable issues with this cart but once I dealt with them I had a cart I really like. It's light, I like the metal as opposed to PVC frame, the frame was obviously powder coated AFTER the holes were drilled (I appreciate that attention to detail), and the assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow. The issues I had with the cart: 1) The product description says it "Breaks Down for Easy Storage and Transport". That's not true. The only thing that EASILY comes off are the wheels and that only reduces the space this cart requires by about 3" in height and width. Hardly worth it. You CAN take it apart further but that requires unscrewing the bolts and nuts. If that's what you mean by "breaks down" then my Chevy prizm also "breaks down for easy storage and transport". There was no way I could get this cart assembled per the directions into my car so I found a workaround. 2) After the first trip I took with it ALL the screws were so loose they were in danger of falling out. I made the following modifications: 1) I removed the bolts and nuts that secured the handle to the frame and replaced them with 1/4" diameter 3" eye bolts, 2 washers, and 2 wing nuts. This gave me a way to remove the handle with nothing more than finger pressure so I could get the cart into my car. Note: the manufacturer uses metric bolts and nuts so if you're looking to replace one then 1/4" won't work. 2) I removed all the bolts that held the rod holders to the frame, applied blue Loctite to the threads, and screwed the bolts back in. I only used 5 of the rod holders because I hope I never need 7. However the rod holders are the vertical connections for the cart so you can't go below 5 without compromising rigidity IMHO. I also wiped my cart down with CorrosionX since it was going to be used at the beach. Since I made these modifications I've had a very reliable light weight but sturdy cart that fits in my car trunk and is just big enough to haul my 5 gallon bucket, tackle bag, water jugs, and rods along with the chair. I even have room to throw in a sand shrimp gun or yabbie pump. When loaded this cart does bog down SOME in soft sand. That's just physics. If you want to get around that then either get a cart with a LOT more wheels or buy a pair of those Wheeleze tires. They'll run you somewhere between $100 to $300 a pair which is more than this entire cart cost me. To summarize I would heartily recommend this cart to anyone who needs something to haul their gear either on the beach or for picnics, outings, whatever. For the money it's somewhere between excellent and outstanding.

Bad Hardware

It's a good design but really bad Hardware just replace all hardware and it will be a good cart.

Missing parts but usable

Delivered exactly like this pic. Missing few parts but I needed it for fishing trip so I had to improvise and make use of what I had on hand to put it together. It is well built and way stronger than the aluminum carts. I should return this for a refund.

Nice little cart but…

Go ahead and get the large balloon wheels if you plan on taking it through loose sand. Impact sand it works great, but then loose sand. The cart gets buried with the wheels and you have a hard time pulling it. I replace the wheels with 13 inch balloon wheels. It was a little modification on my part, but that’s the best thing I can probably do for the application for which I need it.

Handy but not very sturdy.

I like the way I can put my fishing gear on this and just pull it behind me. I am getting too old to carry all that stuff. The problem is that this cart keeps wanting to come apart. The fishing rod holders are supposed to be held together with these screws, but the screws do not really fit right. It is a good enough value for the money. I just have to watch that things do not come apart.

You get what you paid for.

The wheels are not pneumatic like they advertise. They are plastic and won’t last long. I hoping I can get about 10 uses. Don’t expect to carry more than 70 pounds of gears. But the price/value is right. I did not expect much for the price.
