Light clips super easy

Exactly what I needed. Replacing the original can lights with led light and there was no clips to attack the wing springs, didn’t even need the screws just clipped these to the cans and viola’ Highly recommend if you have a similar problem.

Worked as intended.

They slide on really tight. Ended up not bothering to screw them in. They worked perfectly so I could retrofit my old cans with new led lighting.

DIY renovations and fixes

I bought LED recessed lighting from Costco, thinking I’d upgrade the lights in our bathrooms. It would be an upgrade from the old recessed lighting from the 1980’s. Fast forward 2 years later, I renovated my master bathroom and finally brought out the new recessed lighting. Everything was going great until I saw that the new lighting has tension bars to hold the light in the light housing. The old light had spring holding it in and the new lights couldn’t stay in no matter how I positioned the tension bars in the lighting house. Finally googled solutions and it brought me to this product. Just slip the product in between the old lighting house, squeeze the tension springs in and the light stays without any more issues. Before finding this product, I was going to Loctite (construction glue) the light into the housing.

A world of difference

Was looking to retrofit old 5" hihats that didn't have anywhere to accept the torsion springs. The only option I had prior to finding these was ripping them out and replacing with new. These clips changed everything and saved me hundreds for under $5. Would definitely recommend.

Easy to install and very solid quality

I purchased 2 recessed led downlights from Costco to replace the light bulbs. From youtube video, I found out that I need a pair of clips in the housing to hold the springs. Found this produce on Amazon and made the purchase. It turned out the clip is very easy to install (clip to the edge of the housing) and it took me 10 minutes to install the two downlights. Good quality and highly recommended.

Exactly what was needed and easy install

I put in some new LED can lights and had these old (17 years) cans that didn't have the retention clips. Ordered these and like others said, just slid clip on old can without needed screw to hold in place. Just needed a small flathead to pry the clip open a bit when inserting on can. New LED lights went in without any issue.

Fantastic clips

Since my light fixtures are more than 15 years old, they did not have a method to hold the V-springs for the new LED lights we purchased. But these Seagull clips worked like a champ. The 'notches' are fantastic for holding the clips in place while the clips hold the light in place. Well worth the money.
