big foam blocks work great

This works great for my Cobra sit-on-top kayak. I just put these over my bars and slide the kayak up from the back of my car and then tie it down. These cushion it very nicely.

Excellent blocks for use with a wide bottom Sit-on-Top Kayak

This is my second set of foam blocks from Riverside. The first set lasted 3 years of 24/7 use. I used them for both transporting my kayak and setting my kayak on them in the garage for storage. I recommend these blocks for kayak owners.

I looked for quite a while to find the correct slot cut into a block to fit my rack... this fit perfect. I just used this set up on a standard roof rack on my van to carry my kayak,, no problems.
