Weather and UV protection

We love these vinyl covers. They make it all the way through the year with no UV damage and simple soap and water cleanup once per year. The best part is they really work!!

Just what I've been looking for

We have two chair-and-a-half and ottomans and I could never find something the correct width to cover them, either separately or as a chair and ottoman set. The double chaise covers I could find were always at least 60 inches wide and these chairs are only 43 inches wide. This cover is 54 inches wide and although it's not a perfect fit, it's no problem at all and covers the chair and ottoman in one neat piece. The velcro holds it down on the legs and all is good. I was prepared to spend $200 on a custom cover, and I finally found these. I'm very pleased so far. For this price, I don't mind if they need replacing after two or three years, but I bet they'll last longer than that. I got one for the sofa too and I'm very happy I got these. I was sick of taking in the sofa cushions when it rained!

Works well and held up great so far over the months

I waited a couple months since I purchase these items to write this review. The covers installed quickly and looked great. There are various sized covers sold here on Amazon. If you stick with these you may be OK. Unfortunately, the larger version of the covers for say tables w/ chairs did not last long. After one AZ dust storm it started falling apart. Several of the straps on the larger items have ripped off and have left holes in the material in its place. Again, these for the chaise chairs have worked well for me in addition to the ones I bought for my outside love seats which are all still in pristine condition. I think the larger covers though are NOT as durable because of how they are constructed (i.e. basically two smaller pieces tied together vs. a single piece of material). UPDATE 3/15/2014: Adjusting rating on all my cover purchases. See my other review on the larger cover. I also learned the manufacture warranty sucks. It is really a 6-month warranty not 3-years. Keep this in mind if you purchase this item!

2012 - bought in 2008

Unlike alot of folks here I for one have to give this cover some credit. Live in Los Angeles and the double chaise was exposed to sun, the occasional rain and falling debris from a eucalyptus tree (now removed 2012). It did get punctured on two occasions from falling branches but then I would expect that. The cushion underneath looks great -- but then it was custom sunbrella fabric. Debating now as I do want to replace and wondering if I should order again. The cost was right and it did work. The area will be abit more exposed to sun with the tree gone. Despite washing with dish soap it is kind of difficult to get clean. I may regret not buying another one as I may go with a Covermate elite. Well I chnaged my mind and did the math - I have re-purchased this product 6/9/2012.

Vegas Sun

Didn't give this cover 5 stars only because I live in Vegas and the Vegas Sun kills everything,especially vinyl,rubber and plastic.Having said that,I purchased this same cover 2 yrs ago almost to the month and it remained on the chaise 24/7 365 days a year in all sorts of weather. In the end,the vinyl was so brittle just touching it made it crack and fall apart.I bought the same cover again.My cushions remained clean,dry and fade proof this whole time.For the money this was a real good buy. I see no reason to spend mega bucks for a cover when I already know what the sun will do to it.Moving is not a option.....(grin)
