Seemed like a good idea

The turntable was useful in the nursing home with two people helping with transfers. Now at home it is difficult to use with just myself helping my husband. Hopefully as he regains strength the turntable will become more practical. I recall the item cost about $72. Seems high priced for a very simple device.

ok--but...

The turntable was ok and will do the job, but because of friction, the effort to start it turning from a stop is more than is needed to turn once it is already moving. We tried to use it for an elderly person, turning their body 90 degrees to get from one position to another, but because of that initial effort to start it turning, and the weakness of the persons knees, it didn't always work for us. Once moving it turned easily, but the problem was that initial effort to start it turning, so we ended up giving up on it because it was more trouble than it was worth.

This was very helpful in rotating from wheelchair to chair to toilet and performed better than a more expensive brand. I saw some comments that it did not rotate easily but you don't want it to rotate too easily or the person could fall. Once a person is standing on this, the caretaker can rotate it in a controlled manner by pushing it slightly with the caretaker's foot.

Just not fit for us.

I returned this item because my wife's physical condition does not make it possible to use. It was too large for her and turned poorly.

This made my life so much easier in caring for my father works great for standing and transferring to wheel chairand also on car seat!
