I am not sending this replacement back for the original vent filter installed years ago because it is out of sight and will work, it is less than half the thickness and it arrived bent in several places on the exterior. I just installed it anyway. Maybe this happened during shipping because it arrived in a flimsy package.

Generic but seems to be equivalent to genuine part

Ok, at first I was mad because this is NOT a genuine GE WB02X10700 charcoal filter, as it is advertised. However, (IF you overlook the fact that this filter does not have "GE WB02X10700" engraved onto the front edge) this filter looks and behaves identically in all other ways. The charcoal filter on the reverse side seems to be composed of the same material and thickness. It clicked into place easily and securely, so overall I am pleased. I only docked it one star for the false description.

Don’t really know a lot about this but it smelt a lot better than my old one and fit perfectly.

Great for apartment move out.

Great price! apartments will charge you a lot more than the price of this filter if you don’t clean it or clean it enough. Instead of spending hours and multiple products or attempts at cleaning a greasy filter and running the risk of rusting it to get my apartment cleaned for move out, I just replaced it. So worth the inexpensive price for the time it saves and the fees they would’ve charged if I hadn’t.
