Totally worth the money!

So my mom bought this canner and I thought she was crazy... like why do you need an electric canner when you have all of the stuff that works using the stove?! I then spent a year watching her can leftovers into shelf stable meals we could have later and vegetables, jams, all of the things! She would just plug in her canner and go to bed at night without having to worry about it! Freaking fabulous ????. I bought one for myself finally, because I was so jealous and I love it so much!

GREAT PRESSURE CANNER !!!!!

I bought one and loved it so I bought another because when canning season gets in full swing, I will need two. I also let a friend use one of mine this past weekend and see is going to purchase one. So easy to operate.

So much faster and easier! WOW!!!

I’m 64 and have canned since my childhood with my mom, always using an old Presto pressure cooker. Loved every moment. But this Nesco pressure cooker makes it so simple and it’s so much faster! Push a few buttons to set (easy!), turn one exhaust valve when it beeps, and it does everything else. No more having to adjust my stove for the correct pressure and constantly having to keep watch. A canning changer for this old gal. The only downside is that it only fits 4 quart jars at a time, while my old Presto does 7 quart jars. I love this Nesco PC so much I bought a second one! Now I can simply load them both and do 8 jars at a time and can still use my old canner when harvesting during the heavy gardening season. Makes me happy! ????????‍????????

Easy, convenient, highly recommend

I saw this being demonstrated on a you tube video about 2 years ago. I am a novice canner. I had already bought and used the pressure on my stove. This canner holds less mason jars at one time, so it is very good if you pressure can smaller batches..I love it, makes pressure canning so much easier for me. Instructions are easy to follow. I highly recommend.

Outstanding customer service!!

The weight was broken when I received this canner. I called customer service and they agreed to send a replacement without hesitation. There was an address mixup, so I contacted them again and they sent the weight. Unfortunately, when I went to wash the unit before using, there was a large dent. Customer service was again phenomenal. I emailed a pic and received a new unit in two days. Nesco customer service is the absolute best!!!

So far, so good

The canner directions were a bit hard to figure out. Pretty unclear when it came to the pressure relief valve. But once I researched myself, it became clear. Canner operated exactly as advertised. One take away would be to not pull your product too soon after depressurization. The jars are still super hot, and may cause siphoning.

Wonderful, safe appliance.

This pressure cooker is so easy to use. Great for small batch canning. I love it. I did my research and chose this one. I process quarts for 90 min and pints for 75 min. This insures the contents in the jars reach high enough heat and for long enough to reach "the kill zone" in processing food in jars. It was my choice to process a little longer. I completely recommend this product. I bought one for my sister too.

I love my Nesco canner. I live in the city and have a glass top stove, which isn't ideal for traditionnal pressure canner. The Nesco canner is perfect for my needs, easy to use and clean. I also feel much more confident using a digital canner as you can't go wrong or accidentally skip some step, since the canner won't let you do that -- Only one annoyance: the canner emits a loud beep when you press its buttons, so if say you set the timer for 100 minutes, you have to press the timer button 100 times, thus making 100 loud beeps, as you can't press and hold the timer button until it reaches the desired amount of minutes.

No muss No fuss

Have never pressure canned before but this machine is wonderful. I will never water bath again. I have used it 3 times for chicken. Each time there was one jar that didn't seal but that is likely because they were filled either too much or not enough. I did find that after the machine registered E 0 and I turned it to limiting pressure that it took a few minutes, up to 3, to reset and display the number of minutes that I had programmed it for. When I first opened the box the lid disengaged and it took me a while to figure out how to get the lid back on. I am so glad that another customer noted that the electrical cord can become dislodged from the canner. I plugged my canner into two different outlets today and nothing. Then I checked the cord and it was slightly loose. Pushed it in and everything worked. Over all I am thrilled.

Amazing!!

I am an avid canner but I do find form time to time I might like to just can a small quantity rather than spend a full day with my large pressure canner. Sometimes I only have a small amount of fresh vegetables to work with. Tried this out with my fresh green beans and canned 5 pints and it was so easy. This is a great addition to my canning supplies and routine. I will now be able to can small amounts of leftover soups and chilies, etc. This is a must have. And a much better price than the electric Presto!
