Looking for 3-inch door latch?

These are made for standard 2-1/4"house doors. If you're looking for a latch for a 3" thick barn/shed door, get National Hardware part #N101-659.

Works on thin doors. Great for $4

I wouldn't normally buy this item as it won't work on my normal door construction: 1.5"+0.75" => 2.25". These were only $4 when I bought them. I will modify my construction slightly to make use of these on my next doors; router use or thinner stock.

works great!

We got these to build dutch doors on our horse stall barns. We have been using one of them since March and its held up great to being used multiple times a day. We will see to how the hold up to the winter elements of the midwest. only complaint is: I think the latch back needs to stick out from the wall farther.

Can be used on a thicker door, here's how..

I was unable to find a replacement latch for my 2x3 framed shed door. So I cut the flat shaft in half, and spliced in a longer bar in the middle. I used big rivets for the splices but you could screw it or weld it together.

Work really well. Great price. Galvanized (silver) color

Great handle! Super price! Color is galvanized metal. Work well too. Better than the hook and latches I had on there. These have a handle inside and outside and latch really well. Super happy with them. Might have looked better in black, May paint them next year after they weather for the season.
