Did not want the hammer in ones

I liked these cause I was I was avoiding getting the ones you have to hammer in due to not wanting my post to get loose from the vibration. On these I just simply drilled holes and adjusted the nuts on the inside and outside and fit perfect.

Not quite as pictured in the listing

The picture shown in the listing has a beefy piece of steel that the gate rests on. The parts received are not as substantial. The National/Spectrum brand that's also found on the site IS as shown, and cost is within cents of this brand. Returned these, and ordered another pair of National/Spectrum (I have 2 gates)

Creates a very firm gate hinge with minimal visible anchor - superior to hooks on screw-on plates

Used to bolt a hinge pintle through a 6-inch wooden gate post. Very effective and rock solid. Be aware that while the hook/pintle is 3/4-inch the fit into the strap is designed to be sloppy. You can take up the slop by slightly tilting the pintle part of the hook away from the gate.

Working great

Worked great for a shed barn i built. Put these through 4x6 door framing very sturdy. Bought the corresponding strap hinges work great heavy duty.

Good upgrade

I have heavy steel gates that were bending smaller brackets. While I had to drill larger holes in 4" box steel posts, these do not bend or flex at all.

Went through a full 8”x8” post with room for nut, lock-washer and flat-washer.

Worked great. Absolutely sturdy and strong, nicely made piece. Nice action from the bolt. Very pleased.
