Perfect for Mallet Finger splints.

Just needed a couple of these, but for the price, bought this box of 24 of them. Perfect for making fingers splints. I cut them to length, wrap them with tape (tightens down the cushioned part, but still leaves a comfortable fit on that side), and then bend to fit. Using them on a mallet finger issue now, and it's nice to be able to swap between two of these when I get one wet in the shower - just swap and let the wet one dry for a day, then swap back.

good splints, harder to cut down than I figured, but they worked well.

The foam is soft, but the metal is hard ...

The foam is soft, but the metal is hard to cut with sissors to make the correct splint size that I need for my finger.

Good price, but a bit sharp on the edges

If you dragged it on a kids finger out of the box, it could probably cut / draw blood, as-is. It's a good quantity and price, but the edges need to be buffed or taped over with medical tape before using. That's not a good thing for medical equipment, since folks might be in a rush! As a test, I rubbed it a few times on a folded paper towel. It left a dark streak (e.g. fine particles), but once I did, it seemed smooth enough to use (so it's not a waste of money, but be careful to check before using!). Again, happy with the product overall, but it was a minor inconvenience.
