Great product. Works perfectly.
These are very easy to fit. Must be comfortable because my dog never fidgeted with them, and he seemed quite content wearing them. Highly recommend.

They seem to work but hard to stay in place
I use them when I practice drums. My dog seems to mind a lot less the sound when he wears these but they are hard to keep on in place

Noise reduction
Just arrived and it fits my dog OK. The strap under his neck is long and when I tighten it there’s only about a half an inch that’s stuck to the Velcro. The top part between his ears it’s fine. It seems to stay on until he shakes his head. I’ll watch to see how the fireworks on New Year’s pans out. Head circumference 13.5, purchased a small.

Good Sound Protection: Glad I Gave Them a Try
These ear muffs seem to be of high quality, and I would recommend them if your dog needs to be in loud environments like mine does. I have a Seeing Eye dog, half lab, half golden retriever. I play trumpet in a band and an orchestra. While sometimes I can leave the dog at home, I often need to use him to walk with me to rehearsals or concerts. When I first got him, the loud noise didn't seem to bother him. But as he has aged, he has become more and more sensitive to my trumpet playing, especially when it's particularly loud or high pitched. Having him whine and cry loudly during concerts wasn't so cool. I was skeptical of these but got desperate enough to buy them and give them a try. While they haven't eliminated his whining totally, they help a lot. He is able to tolerate much louder sounds before beginning to cry. I give them four stars instead of five because they're not a 100% perfect fit. It would be hard to customize a two sizes fit all product to every dog's head size and shape. There's a little bit of a gap at the bottom where they touch his cheek, no matter how tight the straps are. But they look comfortable, and he tolerates wearing them very well. I used the clicker to click and give him a treat right when I took them out of the package so that he would have a positive association with them from the start. I used the click and treat technique to gradually work up to having them touch his head, sitting all the way on his head, and then wearing them with the straps tightened. I continue to praise and treat him when I first put them on, and I think that helps a lot as far as his comfort and tolerance in wearing them. He wore them all the way through the two-hour band rehearsal this week with no problem. I would say give them a try, and adjust the straps until you get the best possible fit.

Works better than medication
My sweet 11 yo GSD/Lab, Mya, is the BEST dog. She’s nearly perfect. She was never scared of storms or fireworks until we went through hurricane IRMA. It’s been a rough 3 years with storms and fire works since then. She doesn’t do well medicated. A friend of mine uses them for her dogs and recommended them. I ordered right away and the day they came, we happened to have a big storm. I got Mya up in the bed to snuggle, put the MuttMuffs on her and within 15 mins she was sleeping. It’s best to put them on before a storm or loud noise is going to happen. I keep them in a basket under a table. She loves them so much, she will go a stand by the basket when she wants them on! She usually knows the storm is coming before I do! I know that probably sounds crazy, but she’s super smart! I ordered a second pair for my younger dog who is 100 lbs and scared to death of fireworks. Hoping this year, he will just sleep through them. It’s hard to see she’s wearing them in the picture because I got the black ones to match her color. Her brother got blue so those pics will come out better. She wears a large and brother an XL.

My honest opinion and review!
The idea is great but the execution needs some work. Overall the product seems to work but the muffs fall off and can be shaken off with little effort. My dog can still hear someone talking quietly from about 30 feet away so I am not sure how much protection he is really getting. As far as the design goes it was well thought out but the velcro straps seem a little cheap and are hard to work with. I fold my dogs ears down and then apply the muffs to give him the best protection result possible but overall I am not 100% satisfied. The price seems high for the quality of the product. It is better than nothing but I am going to modify the muffs for my dog so I am sure he is protected. My idea is to integrate the muffs into a leather or canvas bomber helmet such as those used in WWI. Not only will the muffs stay on better but the addition of the heavy fabric will increase the protection. Overall I am happy with the product but will continue to look for other options and hopefully something better will come available. If anything maybe mutt muffs can use my bomber helmet idea to improve their product. I hope they are listening. The sound of gunfire, aircraft engines, and any other extremely prolonged loud noise can cause great damage to both humans and animals ears. My dog spends a great deal of time each year on an airboat. The engine noise is not that loud but the propeller sometimes breaking the sound barrier at its tips will cause a large amount of damage. I would recommend this product to anyone with the extra cash to spend.

Slides off
I have a pug mix, and this thing would not stay on, it’s also not the easiest to adjust. Also it doesn’t feel like it’s worth it’s price, materials wise.

not a great fit
Bought these for my dog to be in the general vicinity with us while we are on our land shooting. they just dont fit good. he has a 19" head. if you tighten the straps to actually be snug for noise cancellation purposes then the ear covers slide to the back of his head to his neck. If you keep them loose to fit on his head they are not tight at all for noise cancelation purposes. I could not find a sweet spot on him. He does have rose prick ears and maybe thats why, maybe they work better with flatter ear sets. I returned them to buy rex Specs ear pros which work much better due to their design.

Don’t work at all!
I’ve returned these. They were very expensive and yet my dog could still hear very low level noises through them. I wasn’t expecting sound proofing, but I would have hoped they would have helped a little. But he had them on in my living room, doors and windows closed. A dog in the next estate barked which I could barely hear - and he reacted to it, so I can’t see them helping for anything at all really.

If you could get the dog to keep these on, they would be better!
The principle behind Mutt Muffs is good, but they need a better way of fixing them to the dogs head otherwise the dog manages to get them off too easily, especially when they are already frightened by noise. If they made these with a muzzle-style fasening (likea Halti) then they would probably work better.

Brilliant product , Lilly was proud to wear them ????????????
I bought them because I go to music festivals, some the music is really loud and my dog is very frightened of noise loud . The mutt muffs were brilliant , Lilly wore them ,I took her into a music tent and after 10mins I took them off and she was fine but without them she would't go near. Also ear protection is important for dogs has it is with children .

Sounded like a good idea with the problems we have with our dog, however they are off in 5 mins of him scratching his ear. And to add insult to injury after sending the product back we still have no conformation of them receiving it and or a refund, the communication response time from this company is not so good either. Save your money don't bother.

Rubbish - doesn't stay on the dog when he shakes his head, poor build quality and poor materials used. Waste of money. Vastly overpriced.
