My favorite Mod Podge

I use it with my craft projects. Projects decoupage with napkins. Love it. My main concern is that is expensive.

A very nice addition to the Mod Podge line-up!

I bought this to go over a large, full white moon, part of the mural I painted on the end wall of our hallway. It's clear so can over any base color, it's straight forward and simple to apply, dries quickly so can be recoated quickly, leaves a nice sparkle after only one coat, and soap & water clean-up is easy. (Stir well before applying to distribute the glitter throughout.) This is a multi-colored, iridescent glitter (holographic-like), not a solid silver. I would've been happy with a single silver color, but I'm very happy with this iridescent, also. It's not gaudy or childish looking. I liked the subtle, yet noticeable, effect after only a single coat, so I left it at that. Whether you want to add more coats (and more sparkle) is a personal choice, depending on the look you're going for. The glitter is fine textured so painting over it should be no problem, no preremoval necessary (at least not after the one coat I applied). Because my "moon" is high enough on the wall to be out of reach, I didn't put any kind of top coat over this glittery Mod Podge. If it was within reach or put on an item meant to be used, I would have top coated it since some of the glitter comes off when I wipe my hand lightly over it. (Probably would've tried 2-3 coats of "plain" Mod Podge over top.) As with all the Mod Podge products I've used through the years, I'm now a new fan of this glittery addition. I'm sure it will be one of those things I keep in stock, right alongside several other versions of this enduring crafters' classic.

Love the Sparkle!

This is a step up from your basic Mod Podge...sparkles! Used as a final coat on a project and it is fabulous. Highly recommend, easy to use and cleanup is easy.

Unusable

Unable to use because it came without a lid. If I break the seal, I'm S.O.L. Very disappointed because I was really looking forward to it.

Thinner consistency, very sparkly

Okay, I will say that overall, i am pleased with this purchase. Is it worth the current price of $15 and change? Probably not. I personally will consider buying a large bottle of regular gloss mod podge, and adding my own fine glitter, once this stuff runs out. I found the consistency thinner and less tacky while working with it, making it a little bit difficult to work with. I like with the regular formula, you can kind of manipulate your craft as you go and as it dries, and its tacky enough to make slight changes. With this product, you cannot. Every layer has to dry fully, and I had to use several to get the desired thickness and effect I was looking for. The finish itself is tacky however, just be aware.

Alot more expensive than the first time I purchased

So that's what I didn't like, not a good price point anymore as it was in the past. However the product is sound, dried clear and hard and this is my second order of it. The first time I believe it was 1/2 this price but when you need it, you need it. Gives a nice shimmer to diamond paintings. I would recommend you buy it when it's cheaper unless you need it now. Otherwise go for it, lol....

It's good

I use this as a finish sometimes to a diamond paibting, should I need more sparkle in places. It used it initially on my first 2 diamond painting, which I had framed professionally and which were completely ruined, as, despite my saying they should be sealed with clear acrylic varnish, they were sealed with matt varnish; you can imagine the result. I ordered the extreme glitter in the hope of saving them and am happy to say that yes, it did the trick and, whilst they are not perfect still, they do look good. Needless to say I now do my own finishing and framing.

So much sparkle

I use it for my diamond painting. It secures my drills and adds even more sparkle. It’s very thick so I dilute with a touch of water for my purposes and it still does the job.
