I use them for something very different
I did not use this product for what it's intended to be use, I needed a less expensive form of glass for a project. I have seen in the Caribbean and Mediterranean how they use glass and wanted to copy their art, while I have no idea of their techniques I use some creativity and lots of water and weather resistant glue for my version and I'm very happy with the end result. Let me specify that this glass is not sharp, my mind kept saying be careful but after a hour I was handling the glass for the next few days without gloves and never got a cut, scratch or nothing similar, I got my hands constantly deep in the bag searching for specific shapes and never got hurt. Also when done with the top part of the birdbath I place it on the floor next to a couch while I kept working on the base and my 3 Yorkies kept using it as a trampolin to jump on the couch to make it to the window every time they heard a noise outside and never got hurt, my husband was worry and I told him to place the palm of his ???? in the center of the bowl and push down so he could see and he was impressed of how he didn't get hurt. I got a inexpensive concrete birdbath (35 bucks) at L ows, paint it and went on to decorated with 2 different size and color glass, the red one you see in the picture is this product and brand. The orange and traces of clear are a much smaller crushed glass and of different brand. Overall it made a beautiful shiny (when sunny) garden decore and we gave it to my mother in law on mother's day, she is in her 70's and very much in to color Red, her garden and in to making crafts. She loved ???? and it looks great in her garden. She already have a birdbath and she was wanting to paint it because birds don't use it she has 3 big dogs that have made a sport of catching birds flying in the air when they fly close to the property. In general I use a little more of half a bag of the 10 pounds red glass bag to decorate the base and decorate the bowl, I had a variety of sizes to chose from except small pieces, there wasn't hardly any small little chunks of glass to cover small crevices so I use the orange color for that. Hope this help for anyone who like me are looking in to use this glass for a art and craft project.

Nice red dragon glass
This review is for the discounted opened package I received. The original price was over thirty dollars but I paid about half that. The bag had obviously been opened and it was inside another bag. The weight for the full price bag was supposed to be 10lb but I received just less than 8 lbs. i figured that 18 bucks was still a good deal, just be careful if you buy a discounted bag

Perfect material for the "river" in my Fairy Garden
I bought this quarter inch Landscaping Glass by Dragon Glass to use in my fairy garden planter as the river, if you will. I had seen other fairy gardens that had a dry riverbed made of stones, and I liked the idea. I wanted it to look more like an actual river. I saw blue sand at the crafting store that was the right color, but I thought that would be too light to stay in place if the wind picks up outside or if it rained. I really did not want it going everywhere. I had bought the Dragon Glass in a larger size for another Landscaping project, and I saw that it was available in the smaller size on Amazon. So, I bought it. It absolutely perfect. The glass is a deep blue color. Itlooks like a real river flowing down through my garden. It really sets everything off. I am so glad that I bought this quarter inch landscaping glass by Dragon Glass to use in my Fairy Garde. The glass itself is tumbled, so it is safe. It does not have sharp edges. It feels just like any other landscaping rock. I handled this with my hands, and I didn't get any cuts it all. You may prefer to use gardening gloves. I do have children so I'm constantly concerned about safety, and this material is not hazardous. I highly recommend this landscaping glass by Dragon Glass is high quality. The color is absolutely beautiful.

Zero discoloration, great fire glass!
Some of the glass pieces have a very slight difference in color, but I think it adds to the look of the pit when it's lit. I've had this glass in my propane fire pit for a few months now, and I'm having zero problems with discoloration.

Color not what I hoped for
Color does not match description... should be red and close to red but it has a lot of orange mixed in

A lot of pcs .5-1"
For use in a fire pit, this may not be a problem, however, I wanted to use this in a terrarium. I would estimate about 20% being larger than .25". The color is inconsistent, some pcs are deep red, while others are closer to orange. There are some pcs with white and black on the edges, not really sure what they are. Overall, economical option of glass (much cheaper than hobby stores).

Glass is the way to go, fast shipping, very happy with decision to swap ugly lava rocks for glass!
Purchased this bag o glass to use as a replacement for the lava rocks that came with our new (fairly large) propane fire pit. The pit is about 20 x 20 in square. I originally poured in about 2/3 of the bag and it just covered the propane burner, results were fantastic! So.. I went with the "more is better" theory and added the rest of the bag - bad idea! It was too much glass, holding too much of the gas and all of the flames were very low in height. So.. I took out the "extra" glass and put it away for a future refresh - looks great again! Color is exactly as shown in the preview!

Not a true red- more of an orange red
Used to make Crushed glass artwork. Having trouble finding a true red. This is more of an orange-red. Pieces are not 1/4". Many pieces are larger than that.
