Can only fill till the purple top

The purple top doesn’t screw on, so if you fill past the clear part of the water bottle, it leaks. It’s fine but I’m not able to fill the bottle with 32 oz. Overall it is worth the money.

I really like it but not all animals will adjust to the different style of water delivery

Love the top fill feature. I never have to take the water bottle off the cage, even to fill it. My rabbit did have an issue with learning how to get the water from the nossel. The water is accessed by pushing the lever to the side rather than licking a ball stop. I put the old style back in the rabbit's cage and put this one in the chinchilla's cage and he is able to use it with ease.

Leaks pretty bad

I want to love this bottle. I like how it attaches to the cage since I must put it on the inside and my Guinea pig girls kept knocking their old one down. I love that it’s a too fill. However, it leaks pretty bad. I think it’s a combination of it leaking and that when my girls go to drink this type of mouth just pours out water. I keep a water bowl under it to catch it that I dump out twice a day. I am unsure if I will keep using this.

Leaks somehow

Got this for ease of filling and cleaning. However I find it leaks. I am not sure if it’s the bottle itself or my pigs just can’t seem to figure out the different valve. Seems to leak only when they drink as a ton come out. Which mean totally wet bedding and unhappy pigs when the water runs out too fast.

Leaks when the guinea pigs drink (but not otherwise)

The bottle doesn't leak by itself, I want to make that clear. And I love the top opening for easy filling, and the height adjustment with the different ridges. My struggle is that when my guinea pigs drink, they move the lever a little to let water come out, and lick to get what they can. But while they're doing that, water dribbles out the bottom the whole time they have the lever moved and are drinking. After a couple hours of being in the cage, a fresh drip pad is SOPPING wet. It's like someone just poured half the bottle on the pad. I assume that if the piggies developed a better drinking technique, they could avoid this...but they don't seem to care that the water drips out, so they're not motivated to change, haha! I'm bummed, because I really wanted to love this bottle. And I do, all except for that one point which unfortunately is a deal breaker for me. I'm looking for other options, maybe a bowl that attaches to the cage (a bowl set on the floor just gets tipped over).

Good backup water supply for rabbits in areas of light freeze

I like the fact that I can fill it from the top without removing the bottle. It attaches outside the cage, with the bottle not touching the wire so the rabbits can't chew on it. It can be removed from the clip supplied, though they do sometimes develop cracks from doing this, as the clip is quite tight. Maybe adding a little oil to the place where the clip meets the bottle would help with that. I use them as a backup water source, for when the water lines freeze, or if I'm not going to be visiting the rabbit barn as often as I normally would, in case anybody's water drinker gets clogged. I keep a heated water bucket with spare bottles during freezing temps, because the metal drinker tube does get frozen at times. This way I can swap them out for a defrosted one. Added bonus, the valve at the business end of the drinker can be adjusted, carefully, with needle-nose pliers, but carefully turning it righty-tighty or lefty-loosey. Overall, my current favorite rabbit water bottle.

The Wide Flip Top Allows for Adding Ice

I love this water bottle for many reasons. I initially bought this about five six years ago when the female rabbit I had then took to ripping off the metal sipper part of every water bottle I tried. I don't know how she did it but she did. With this water bottle she was not able to or did not want to get the metal sipper part off. This has a silent metal rounded pin (not sharp) instead of a noisy ball bearing and it may look a little crude but really it isn't. I touched my finger to it and you barely have to move it to get the water out. I have two baby holland lops and I purchased two water bottles a glass ball bearing one that I purchased while waiting for this one to arrive (I purchased the lixit from an independant seller on Amazon no Prime). Now that I have both of them I left both up to see which one they preferred and they took to the lixit one and are drinking even more water. I also like this one because it can be easily filled from the outside of the cage and the top is wide enough that in the hot days of summer ice can be added to it to keep the water cool. It is easy to install just screw on the plastic holder. I really like the way the water bottle adjusts height. The bottle itself has plastic raised rings that the holder slides between. I have a double decker wooden/wire cage and with the traditional water bottles I could only adjust the height of the water bottle by moving the metal holder, this made it so the water bottle was either too low so the bunnies had trouble drinking from it or was too high and the bottle interfered with the door opening above, and the bunnies had trouble drinking from it, I had to devise my own holder to make it work. With this bottle you attach the holder and then can adjust the bottle to the needed height. (needs a wire cage, this would not work in a glass tank with the holder provided). And unlike other water bottles that have to be completely filled to the top to get a good seal or else it will leak this one does not. These have never leaked for me. I just can’t use this

Works as intended, doesn’t leak. To not leak you need to fill completely up to top, put lid on tight then squeeze bottle over sink to get excess air out. My two ferrets just can’t drink from it, their little tongues aren’t strong enough to move the piece for water to come out. Like how it attaches to the wish other bottles would connect to cage like this one.

Very disappointed with the rabbit water bottle received today

Quick Lock Flip Top Water Tank With Valvez16. Very disappointed with the rabbit water bottle received today .Tried every which way to stop it leaking from round the screw on piece which joins the drinking piece on.Very shortly bottle was almost empty and the rabbit hay was soaked. Tried several more times but the same happened.Of course with advancing years it could have been my fault but am afraid I would never recommend it or buy another

Great water bottle!

Purchased for our two guinea pigs. This is the first bottle I've owned that doesn't leak! We actually just purchased a second bottle for our rabbit as well. I like the filling feature. You don't need to remove the whole bottle from the cage in order to fill it. Easy to install and my kids have no problem adding water to it. The pigs easily adjusted to drinking from it as there is no ball at the end of the spout, instead a thick wire they push aside while drinking. We are happy :)

Possible Quality Control Issues

I ordered a few of these (I am a small animal breeder) and the majority are fine but there are a few of these that came with a faulty valve that doesn't align properly and causes the water to just seep out. Doesn't appear to be a way to exchange these. The tops also are not water tight but that isn't exactly super important to me as there's no reason to flip a flip-top bottle upside down or on its side. Would happily have given this a higher rating but I see no option to exchange the faulty ones for functional ones so buy at your own risk. Great product when you don't get a broken one.
