Excellent Fan - except for one thing

I bought this fan because of how loud the reviews said it was. I live in a busy neighbourhood and it’s hard to sleep sometimes from all the noise. It’s nice! Even on the lowest setting it drowns out just about everything outside. That being said, I don’t know if it’s a fault of mine or the fan I received being defective, but it also makes a strange sound like a helicopter going off. It’s hard to describe but it’s not very pleasant. I’ve tried taking it apart and putting it back together a few times and I can’t seem to find the source of it. Overall it does what I need it to do and it’s a good fan.

Great for the first 10 months

This fan has been amazing! I use it every night to help me fall asleep (auditory purposes). Just three days ago, it started making this random, but annoying, humming noise. Took me a minute to figure out it was coming from the fan. Annoying. It still functions as a fan, blows air fine BUT it’s noisy now and has caused my sleep to be off listening to it, while simultaneously trying to ignore it. I hope the humming noise is not an indication of it breaking soon or getting louder. I guess we will see. *Alexa, activate sleep sounds: ceiling fan*

VERY LOUD FAN!

This product came with clear instructions for assembly and the fan was easy to put together. The bottom pole simply gets pushes into the base, which made me wonder about the overall stability, but it seemed to be just fine. The fan provides great airflow, but at a price: the extreme noise level. Maybe my fan was particularly loud (it seems other reviewers had the same issue though), but there’s no way to carry on a conversation or watch TV in the same room as this fan when it’s on. I need a quieter fan with powerful air flow, so unfortunately, this item didn’t work for me and I had to shell out an extra chunk of money to get exactly what I was looking for. If you don’t care about the noise level though, it’s a great fan!!

Works great, but it came with dirty stains that won’t wash off

Putting the fan together was pretty easy. The fan blows a lot of air on levels 2 and 3, but I believe level 1 is similar to other fans. It is not too powerful on level 1. It has an oscillation feature that can be turned off, and the fan head can change angle positions. I would give this 5 stars, but when I put it together, I noticed it had dirty stain marks on the front grill. I tried to wipe them away with soap and water, but they do not go away. I only just put it together, but it seems like it will hold up.

powerful and quiet

I ordered this fan for myself and liked it so much I ordered 2 for the laundry where I work. There is no A/C there and we need good fans for the summer months. They came recently and I took them to work today and assembled them. I was disappointed that they were not working as well as the one I got for myself. The fan cages were out of round and didn't sit properly on the motor housing and the fan blades hit the cages on both of them. They also looked like they had been returns that had been repackaged and sent to me. I am in contact with the manufacturer regarding getting this issue addressed. No problem with the fan, just the 2 I got in my order. Fulfilling a customer's order with a returned defective product is not a good practice.

Very loud

If you want a fan for your bedroom that's not the best option ever. It is very loud. Considering the price, it’s fine. Do I regret? No.

Decent cheap fan

I mean it's a fan, it works pretty well as far as creating air movement even on the lowest of 3 settings. But it doesn't come with a remote and it's rather loud.

Great product

I bought this for my husband which is in a nursing home with a larger room. It’s perfect for him. I have a smaller version and I love it so I knew I would get a good fan and good for the price.

Good size fan

Good size fan. And good speed. Selection. Easy to install. And moves. Good amount of. Air. Fairly quiet. No fan can be quiet. It's just the nature of the beast. Even if the motor is the quietest motor in the world. The blades make the noise, not the motor.

Wow, talk about cheap construction

I bought this fan because of reviews saying it moves a lot of air. When I received it, I almost packed it back up and sent it back without even trying it. Everything but the motor is made out of cheap plastic. The grating, rear and front, barely hold together. When I looked at the picture, the grating looked like metal, but it's plastic as well. I assembled the unit and it actually works pretty well. It does move a lot of air at the full speed, but is fairly loud which makes sense considering there are five blades and they;re all moving very fast. At the low setting, it still moves a decent amount or air but is much quieter. However, if you're looking for a quiet fan, I think you should look elsewhere. If you want a sturdy fan, look elsewhere. If you want a cheap fan that blows, this is for you. I feel it's over-priced at $67.

A Bit on the Loud Side but Exceptionally Powerful

Ok so the fan is a little on the loud side, but given the reasonable price, it has serious blowing power! On low speed it has better output than my other fan on high speed. On high speed with this fan you'd better tie down the curtains. Overall very pleased with this high powered fan.

Great Product For A Great Price

I was a bit skeptical about this product because of the bad reviews (although the majority of the reviews were about the fan with an electronic remote and parts). I decided to get it anyway and its great! Its easy to assemble, sturdy and made very well for the price. It is a bit on the loud side, that is an upside for me because I like to use the fan as white noise when I sleep. If you don't like loud fans then this is not the right fan for you. Its a very powerful fan and is ideal for hot summers and rooms that need to be well ventilated. I 100% recommend this fan.

COOL FAN!

Although it took a little longer to arrive than originally expected, it was well worth the wait! Bought one for my son and daughter in-law. She assured me it cooled their hot home immediately, so when the latest hot spell killed my old pedestal fan, I bought two of these 18 inch for our bedrooms and yes, during the severe heat of the prairies this year, they brought relief by cooling the rooms right away. Plenty of power! 18 inch is a wonderful size! Assembly was mostly easy. I gave 4 out of 5 because adding the front grill was a little confusing. I wasn't sure if it was on, but apparently it was. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend this fan to anyone!
