These have traditionally made the best tip containers, better than glass.

These decanters serve as my tip jars when street performing. Street performing is a requirement of the Stand Up comedy tradition, and the tradition must be honored. Not everyone, but many people tip a street performer and I took the two decanters and painted them copper color, put my Lone Comic Logo on the front of them and then strap them to my music stand that holds the script I am performing free. The bright color attracts the patron's eye, the logo let's them know what I am asking for without having to put my hand in my hand and because they are opaque now and strapped well to the music stand, street thieves think twice about running off with your hard earned money. Functional for boating

Bought this for the boat, for wine. It met expectations and will be used to carry wine off the boat to our table for dinner.

Large decanter you can shake if you're brave...

These decanters are pretty big, a full liter and a half. The lids fit very tightly and take a bit of effort to get on all the way, but you can shake them with the lid snapped in place (I keep my hand over it for obvious reasons). The pour flap in the lid does not stay up by itself so when pouring the flap drops down into the flow. You need to find a way to pour while holding the flap up, you'll figure it out. The clear polycarbonate looks good and is crystal clear. These suit my needs.

Smaller in size than I thought and one of the lids didn't fit on it (had to tape it down). Found larger and cuter ones (they had flower decor on it) at Daiso for $1.50 each.

Great for places glass is forbidden!

A little on the flimsy side (composed of a thin polycarbonate material) but I haven't found anything comparable for enjoying a bottle of wine where glass isn't otherwise allowed (pools, beaches, etc.)

PIECE OF JUNK!

Clearly an ineffective product. First one received was defective - top was completely cracked. Returned and received a second one, free of charge - thanks Amazon, you are the best. However, second one is not a whole lot better. Top is very tight and has already started to crack after taking off 2 times. As others have noted, THIS WILL LEAK. The spout is not secure and does not even close completely. I read all the reviews, the questions and answers too and still went ahead with the purchase. Why? This 1.5L is a perfect size for me. Needed something bigger than 1L and less than 2L. Was not concerned about the top. Could not find this size anywhere else in a plastic decanter. It is a great size for me, fits in my fridge anywhere. I think it is expensive for just a decanter without a top. They should not even sell it with a top or advertise it with a top. Does not even come in a separate box, just Amazon's shipping box, so not always secure. Good luck.

Nice carafe for taking down to the lake. Top stays on nice and the contents stay nice and fresh - no plastic-y taste
