Games on the go

I bought this set as an entertainment option for camping or backpacking. The size is nice for either option. It's a little heavier than I thought but the nice part about that is the balls feel sturdier for play.

I ordered this set to take on vacation. It fit nicely in our checked baggage and we had fun using on the beach! Easier to travel with than a regular size set.

JUST LIKE THE HEAVIER ONES!

These are smaller than "normal" bocce balls (because they travel nicely) but they have significant weight to them, enough so that you can throw them with gusto and accuracy Overall I'm very impressed with the playability and overall feel of these (they're grippy too). Nice product 100% worth the price paid!

Cute size and fun sized for on the go

I received these balls as a gift for a review. And these are great for traveling, doing things on the go. And also they work really well on carpet. I would recommend not putting them in the grass, because you will lose them. And in addition to their fun size, there is a small travel bag for them as well. I would say keep these away from dogs that are small to medium to large. These balls could be eaten and swallowed by the dog and cause a lot of issues. And also make sure your kids do not swallow these as well, and do not chew on them. These balls do you have some weight to them, so if you chuck them quite hard, they will probably go through drywall if you try hard enough. But, do not chuck them at the wall. I would say for cleaning purposes, just hand wash them with some mild soap detergent and warm water. There is a small measuring tape inside of the bag to measure who’s ball is the closest when the points really matter. If you are looking for something to do in a small room or a game room on a carpeted floor, this is the game to have.

Fun game! These are a bit small for our lawn.

We played this game the first time last summer with our grown kids and really liked it. Thought these would be great--we don't travel so much, but just have so much "stuff" and I'm always looking for the space saving options. They are great, except that we mow our lawn high and so then in a few days it's a bit tall. These are still good, quite playable, especially since the yard is probably going to be fresh cut when folks are over, but the bigger ones are easier to see, and this is even more important on uneven ground. So for us, I'd rather have the regular ones, but for a lot of people these would be great and save a bit of space. We'll keep them, though, until we get bigger ones because this is a great game for when the kids come--we can talk and laugh and keep on playing (and not sweat as much as volleyball . . .).

Oh my - I LOVE it!

We have a regulation Bocce ball set that we love using during the Summer and Fall when the weather permits outdoor activities. So, when Winter and Spring hit, the set lives in our closet. That set is contained in a nice carry case, but is incredibly heavy! While browsing through Amazon (killing time), I happened across this travel set and immediately had a few ideas! I tossed it into the cart and awaited delivery. Shipping was very quick and packaging was minimal (and recyclable). The set contains 4 sets of 2 bocce balls, 1 pallino, a really nifty bag to store everything in, a measuring tape, and instructions. Everything feels great to the touch and the bag looks and feels very well made. I was actually a little surprised to feel such heft to the miniature bocce balls... but in a good way. Once contained in the cary bag, this is easy to throw in the back of the car or store anywhere as it is still quite light. So - as crazy as it seems... My first initial thought was having this minature/travel set to play indoors (away from glass!!). We have relatively dense carpeting in the great room and a large open area that I thought would be great to have 'mini' championships... and it did not disappoint. The smaller, lighter bocce balls are perfect for close range playing and maintain the thrill and disappointment tangled into the game. We have had an absolute blast playing this indoors... but would absolutely recommend clearing the area of anything breakable just in case. As for outdoors, I think this would work well on a very short lawn or sandy beach... honestly, anywhere that has little to no ground clutter. Since the balls are lighter than regulation and a lot smaller, they can be easy to lose and/or hard to 'bounce' if there is too much resistance. If you are a fan of Bocce Ball, or maybe just discovering it... this is an absolutely wonderful little investment with tons of entertainment options available. The cost is on point for the quality and construction of the materials. I am so glad we purchased this set and look forwards to many, many more games in the future!
