Use with the Minn Kota DH
Great anchor. My only issue, which is no fault of the anchor, was with Amazon's algorithm. This anchor was matched with the Minn Kota DH anchor retriever ("others purchased this item with the DH) - it isn't a great fit, however. The shank is thicker than I think the DH was designed and the cleat and chain aren't a match. If you need an anchor, I'd recommend it (maybe just not for the DH, although I was able to make it work)

Good Anchor
I just purchased the 18lbs model to use in the river that we go pontoon on. The bottom is very soft & murky, you'll easily sink down 10' inches when standing in it. I've only used it once, but this anchor grabbed and held well. It's a river so there is always a current and there was a decent breeze too and we didn't drift like we have in the past. (note for reference - It's a 24" pontoon boat & I do use an 18lb. anchor off the bow and stern). When it arrived it did have a couple minor dings on it, but I'm not concerned about that. I like how the eye hook is molded into the design. The anchor that I lost last week was basically the same design except it didn't have the teeth that this one has and the eye hook was welded on. The old anchor was in no way stuck on anything. When I pulled it up, the rope and hook were intact so I can only surmise that welded eye hook broke. I don't see that happening with this one.

Holds Firm
I use this when I go to the lake to stand in three feet of water and drink at the back of my boat. Already had one anchor, but a little wind was pushing the boat around. Got this and don’t have that issue anymore with this in the back and the other anchor in the front. Works like a charm for my 20’ runabout.

J’ai installé une chaîne de 3 pieds afin qu’elle s’agrippe bien au fond, dois laisser beaucoup de lousse dans la corde afin qu’elle s’agrippe bien au fond quand il y a du courant et/ou du vent. Je l’utilise avec un bateau de pêche de 21’ et a date c’est parfait.

Does a decent job. But if its to windy has a hard time holding my family of 4 and our 16' bow rider in place. 5' of lead chain may solve this problem however.
