Valve cartridge

Bought this valve as my old one was not allowing enough water to flow in the hot position. I must say that this works very well as my wife is happy to have great water pressure once again. I should have done this a year ago

Took care of the leak

Replaced the original which started to leak after two years (this is at a mostly summer house and over the winter it started to leak). The house is kept at at least 50 so it wasn't cold related. This replacement went in easy and stopped the drip. Lets hope it lasts longer than two years.

Great product at an affordable price

This product worked great as a replacement for my shower. We recently had a winter storm that messed up my old one and replacing it was easy and simple with this. I love it and the price I can't beat it!

It works

For what Kohler charge for bathroom products, you would think this would be better built. This piece seems designed to fail. I purchased a spare as the original failed after a year and a half.

Stopped Leak for about 10 months

This replacement part did originally stop the small leak, however it only lasted about 10 months before it started to leak again. Not sure if Kohler has a newer model that could replace this one, however ill give it another shot as i have no other choice.

Fixed my dip

Original Kohler cartridge failed in less 2 years, so not impressed with longevity of the cartridge hope this one lasts longer

Be very careful!

As long as it is a genuine kohler product it is reliable. There are some business's on the internet that offer much better prices but beware. I find all Kohler cartridges more difficult to install than Delta, Price Pfister and American Standard. Make sure you don't install the pressure balancing unit backwards ( it is marked hot and cold on genuine kohler parts) Becareful you don't drop the screws behind the wall ( then you are genuinely screwed). I usually put a damp wash cloth beneath the exposed shower valve body to catch a screw that may drop.You can buy screw drivers that capture the screw if you are a professional doing this regularly. Make sure you use silicon paste to lubricate the O rings as well as the interior of the valve body. When you are dealing with this type of project stay alert. If you dont you may be caught out with your house water turned off until you solve the mistake you made. Very embarrassing if you are a contractor!

Cartridge worked fine ... but

This cartridge is a Kohler original replacement part and fixed my problem which was a slight leak. Tip: I made sure that the hot water setting was set exactly the way it was on the original one although there were no instructions to do so on the package. The main problem with this replacement cartridge is not with this part but the fact that the ORIGINAL one began to leak after less than two years in a brand new shower installation! i can't persuade myself to give this part a five-star rating when I feel I shouldn't have had to replace the first one for years and years.
