Same as the original

It's exactly as ordered. I read a lot of reviews stating it's very hard to install, which is true but only because you have to compress the gasket so much so the 3 prongs make it inside the tank deep enough to turn and not break. I purchased two of them since so many reviews stated the prongs broke while trying to turn the item upright. Really, you need 3 hands to install this puppy. I pushed the item into place, compressing the gasket as much as possible while my wife turned it upright. To align the 3 prongs to the opening on the toilet bowl tank, it's at about a 30 degree angle off center to start. Once I was able to put enough pressure on the back of the flush valve using both of my hands, my wife was able to turn it upright. It took a few tries, but we got it done. The flush valve does come as pictured with a new flapper also.

Installation difficult

Difficult to install. Neither the toilet nor the part were angled to allow easy installation. Required brute force. Once installed to worked perfectly.

Easy fix

First plumbing product I have installed with no tools required. Simply turn off water, turn the old fitting to the right (as seen standing in front of the toilet) 45 degrees and pull towards back of toilet. Just reverse to install new one and connect flapper chain. Takes no more than 1 minute to install and fixed the leaking flapper.
