Sold under name "Trimax Lock" for cheaper.
Just a heads up, this is the same exact lock as the Trimax one which is listed as cheaper. I ordered this thinking it might be different, but it says Curt and Trimax on the package. Pros: - Seems somewhat solid - Good initial deterrent, would make some noise breaking off Cons: - Others have stated locks up in cold weather - The bottom grey part is a lightweight metal painted to look tough. Certainly not steel. I would recommend this. I combo it with the Trimax 3.5" couper lock and wrap my cables in it as well. I also park in front of my trailer 90% of the time for extra security. i wouldn't trust this lock in an unprotected not safe area for extended periods of time.

Strong and appears of highest quality.
It would have been excellent but I had to return it because the packaging did not have the keys to the lock. We were leaving the next day and would have swapped it but did not have time for the round trip shipment. Unfortunately I had to buy a more expensive (but not necessarily better) lock from one of the large Camping stores. I researched locks before buying this lock and believe it may be one of the best on the market.

Not useful if it can't be unlocked!!
Sorry, cannot give this five stars. Looks like a great tool and just what I need. However, just received it today and the keys DO NOT fit the lock. Should be as simple as inserting the key into the slot and turning but neither of the two supplied keys would rotate the lock. Sending this one back and have already ordered a replacement, based on other positive feedback. If I cannot open the lock with it sitting in my lap, I don't think it will get easier once installed. Will provide an update once the replacement arrives. Hopefully, this hit on the rating will prompt Curt to perform a quality check on this "Made in China" product.

As a Lock for my new travel trailer...
It seems sturdy enough to act as a deterrent to most thieves that are looking for that easy prize. I like the fact that it has a barrel style lock. Given enough time and in the "wrong" place. A determined low-life thief could defeat this or any other lock.

Trailer Coupler Lock Seems to be Good
Seemed to fit my 2 inch bulldog hitch well. I just hope it is effective and durable. I'd like to know if anyone has taken a sledge hammer to it to see if it withstands a good hard hit?

This did exactly what we needed it to. I will say it seems like it would be easy to break away with enough force its more about being part of a larger group of locks and deterrents. We locked the wheels, the tongue, the rear doors and park out trailer in a secured facility.

No problems so far!
This has worked very well for the past year! I have this lock as well as one more on my trailer, as we carry around a lot of music gear. I haven't had anyone try to break it off, so it definitely has been working so far!
