Works mostly but somewhat awkward to learn and use

It seemed to work however it kept telling me there was electrical cables where I know there aren't any or metal that it could have been picking up on. The whole unit is very awkward to hold and use and the instructions were confusing to say the least. Right out of the pack the battery cover fell off at the slightest touch. About what I would expect from a $12 cheapie but not for close to $40.

Good for a beginner like me

Wasn't accurate all the time but most of the time. It did help me detect live wires which I never knew would be an issue. The thing to indent the spot where u wanna drill is pretty neat. Kinda hard to press the button to start detecting, and u really have to press down otherwise itll stop detecting. Overall, wish I had spent a little more to avoid the mentio ed issues. I dont use it alot so I guess no big deal

Good Stud and AC circuit Detector

Used to find studs and a circuit on a mobile home type construction trailer. Had to wave it around alot, but it found all the studs and an AC line that I was unable to find. Looks and Feels kind of flimsy, but no issues with it and has a Craftsman "lifetime" warranty. Met my needs.

Finds studs AND phantom power.

Not sure why this finder is so finicky. The button has a weird feeling and for some reason, keeps picking up electrical current in walls with no electrical. Found the stud and then deters me from drilling anywhere in the house.

Did not find studs.

I live in a building that was constructed in 1841 therefore the stud placement was anyone's guess. It was critical to find them in order for me to hang a heavy item on the wall. This stud finder came with NO instructions. The indicator light came on for electrical but I was not able to find the studs. It was a waste of money.

Don't waste your money as this Stud Finder is difficult to use and not worth the money spent.

Preciso para su uso correcto.

Compré este producto porque en la reseñas y preguntas ví que podía detectar materiales como metales y ductos eléctricos (tuberias) que estan ocultas en la pared. Y aunque sí llega a detectar lo mencionado, es un poco confuso y dificil de manipular. El material con el que está hecho es muy simple, nada espectscular. Lo sigo probando y por el momento no he picado un tubo de pvc o de cobre. :D

Works great for the handyman

So far so good. I used it on both metal and wooden studs without an issue. It's accurate to the center of stud +/- 0.75"

Awkward to use.

Awkward to use --too wide to place hand across the device and hold down button. Sometimes very hard to get a reading. I switched to Zircon.
