Base is a different color - used item
I bought two lamps; one was used in "good" condition and the other was new. The lamp is well made and metal. It is a dark bronze color (almost black) with subtle hints of a brownish-red color striking through in some spots. These spots are different on each lamp. The base is a different color from the rest of the lamp. It is a silver base with blackish/brown wash over it. Luckily I saw this in other reviews and it does not bother me. It is not very noticeable till you are next to the lamp. The Bird, while metal, is hallow with two pieces being soldered together. This does make the bird a bit fragile as it can be bent and possible broken off. The leaves are solid metal. The edges of the leaves are smooth on the used lamp and one leaf on the new lamp are a bit jagged if you look up close. The Finial feels like metal and the leaf definitely is. It comes with a rubber washer to used between it and the lamp harp. The lamp harp & frame, socket shell and switch are all shinny gold. If you are looking at the lamp and the bird is on the right, the switch is facing you/on the front of the socket. If you are looking at the lamp and the bird is on the left, the switch is facing away from you/ on the back of the socket. Very nice lamp for our living room
Very well made lamp. Nice addition to our bird themed floor lamp. Everything arrived undamaged. Absolutely satisfied with this item.

NOT WHAT THEY USED TO BE :(
I purchased this same set several years ago and LOVED them! They were accidentally given away during a move and I was so disappointed. After several months, I searched Amazon again and was so very happy to find them. I pressed the "buy again" button and anticipated the arrival. Disappointed to say, the bird is made of plastic, and appears that way. The rest of the lamp is as it was before, beautiful, however, I wish they didn't skimp on the bird itself, as that is the main focal point of the lamp...

Need an accurate view of the lamp base.
I was disappointed by the large size and silver antique finish of the lamp base. It takes away from the design. It is not represented well in photos.

Not bad!
I was disgusted with having broken a tiffany lamp, so I chose a less expensive lamp, since it will sit in a vulnerable place in my home. At first I thought it was just okay, but now that it's been in my space for a week, I really like it! It goes very nicely with my décor. The best part is I don't have to worry about my dogs knocking it over!

simple design all metal . Reason for 4 stars is wishing bird was a little more detailed and realistic instead of two molded pieces(halves) put together. and bronzed over. For the price of this lamp This was a big disappointment

Well made and exactly as described
Lamps were extremely well packed. Nothing broken nor were the shades damaged in any way. These lamps are beautiful! Would have liked them to be somewhat heavier but that’s ok. So glad I bought them.
