If only it had been new...

the tent is great as far as design and build, the one I received was dirty, with hairs and lawn debris, one bent pole section, and a damaged pole ferrule. The listing said "brand new". this was either a demo unit, or a customer return.

Unreliable, and a waste of money.

Tent zippers failed after 3 weeks of use in the Mojave Desert,misaligned teeth and frozen slider, This could not be fixed in the field. Inside pocket tore off the wall when I placed my cellphone in it! How's that for durability? Makes me wonder about the tape and weld technique that is used extensively throughout the tents construction- INCLUDING the pole attachments,which in a Bibler/single wall tent are in the tents interior. With tax this tent came to $1080 USD. A tent that lasted 3 weeks. Out of warranty and return window ,of course,since tent was purchased in Sept 2020,and unused except to apply seam sealant. I've contacted Black Diamond ,I'll update this post depending on my experience. UPDATE: Black Diamond issued a refund (an electronic instore gift card) including shipping. They were prompt and easy to work with. So...must give them credit for customer service.
