Does Not require force.

This is a pretty decent level 2, some other reviews say that the solution requires some force. It doesn’t if the puzzle is assembled correctly (which it will be when you get it). It can be reassembled backwards with some force, in which case it will require some force to solve. You can tell if the last idiot to work it assembled correctly by holding the treble clef with the curly part to the right and the note hanging from the long straight part. It’s tip should be pointing away from you. Taking apart and putting together requires no force when done correctly.

I think mine might have been a little warped.

I actually ended up Googling the solution after getting the piece off because I was worried I'd brute forced it in a way not intended by the creator, but it seems I got it right, and my copy just required a little extra push. It's a cute puzzle, but I spent way too long on it thinking that the solution was more complex because I didn't want to push too hard.

Box with ring - brain teaser puzzle is nice

This puzzle is labeled level-2. It's obvious right away that this puzzle is more difficult than a level-1 that I bought at the same time. This puzzle is fun to try solving. We gave it to our 5-yr-old along with a level-1 key puzzle. We've solved it, but she won't be solving this puzzle any time soon. So there's no need or us to get any of the more difficult puzzles. It occurs to me that this sort of puzzle/toy might be useful for seeing if someone has anger issues or difficulty concentrating.

Nice Puzzle; a little over-rated on difficulty

I love the Hanayama "cast" puzzles series, which consist mostly of entanglement puzzles, and assembly/disassembly puzzled. The Cast Box is one of the latter. All the puzzles in this series are solid cast metal, with a nice heft and a good "feel" to them. Amazon unaccountably asked me to rate "sturdiness" and "durability" separately; to me they are the same thing. Regardless, this is a nice, sturdy (or durable) puzzle. Hanayama puzzles are rated in difficulty on a scale from 1-to-6, and mostly their ratings are pretty reasonable, though once in a while I find them a bit questionable. the Cast Box is rated "Level 2", but I found it rather easy to solve and reassemble, and would probably have rated it "Level 1". A reasonably bright 10-year old will be able to solve it in 15 minutes or less. One thing to watch out for: the price on these Hanayama puzzles seems to be all over the map; don't know why. I've seen this one sold for anywhere from $3.85 to $32.00. Average price seems to be around $9 - $12, and I wouldn't pay more than that for it. With that caveat, recommended.

Pretty easy, more for beginners

I think this could be for beginners, I found this to be pretty easy to solve, but of course I've been playing around with alot of the hanayama puzzles for a while so I kinda get the idea of how they work. Still think someone starting out wouldn't have trouble getting this one

One of the better made Hanayama puzzles

After purchasing so many Hanayama puzzles, I can say not all puzzles are of the same quality and craftsmanship. My first impression of this DOT puzzle is that it's one of the better made Hanayama puzzles. From the moment you take it out of the box, the pieces move easily. The puzzle is not too challenging. Putting the puzzle back together is more a challenge than taking apart. As a fidget device, I find it satisfying to repeat the puzzle over and over. That alone makes this a nice value. It's well constructed and elegant, but I wouldn't classify this as a "must have" puzzles. The one things missing on this puzzle is an eyelet. Most other Hanayama puzzles have a little eyelet you can use to hang the puzzle up. I use these eyelets to decorate my Christmas tree with Hanayama puzzles. Needless to say, this puzzle will not hag from my tree. Still, I find it well made and one of the better made Hanayama puzzles.

Level 2 Puzzle is a Good Beginner, but Quality Slightly Suffers

Quality: It's not the best quality. There are some shard edges and it feels light, so I assume it is aluminum with some mix material. Challenge: Very good beginner puzzle. The solution is clever. When you get the first step right, you hear a satisficed clink! Overall: Good for people starting puzzles. It's beautiful. I wish the quality was a bit better, though.

Perfecto, recomendado!

Empece con un puzzle hanayama nivel 1 y fui comprando más hasta que llegue a este, y dejen les digo que esta excelente, tan solo la calidad del producto como todos los de la marca, super resistentes puzzles para toda la vida, elaborados a detalle y con un nivel de solución que te hace pasar un rato bastante retador. El nivel no es tan elevado y con paciencia lo puedes resolver en unos minutos. Una vez que lo resuelves analizando el patrón vas a sentir esa satisfacción de paz interior tan esperada por los que somos amantes de los rompecabezas 3D, lo recomiendo!

¡Increible!

Muuucho más grande de lo que imaginé, realmente la calidad es impresionante, NO se despinta con el uso a pesar de que la pintura pareciera ser solamente sobrepuesta, pese a su dificultad (que es mínima) no deja de ser divertido y por su calidad funge sin ningún problema como ornamento, realmente recomendable.
