Pleasantly Surprised

Got these today and am pleasantly surprised. I got the yellow 25# set that came together in one box. Which is nice and minimizes having a lost package. They looked better than expected given the price point, although they did have minor blemishes. I’m not worried about that at all though as I plan to add more with use. I’ve had a full set of HF brand in the past and I’m pretty sure these are from the same factory. Get these and save the money if you’re thinking between the two. The best part is I weighed both multiple times at different positions on a step scale and they consistently weighed the exact same. Horizontally they both weighed 25#, and vertically they weighed 24.4#. I wasn’t expecting that given the cost. I plan to buy more soon and hope to get the same quality.

Excellent value

Ordered 280lb of plates. Four 10s, and pairs of 15-45s. Price to ship to ALASKA was less than $50. Any other retailer was $3-500 for shipping alone. They come oily and smelling of rubber. Leave them in the garage for a few days and it’ll pass. Are they the nicest plates? No. But they’re almost half the price of Rogue, so… Don’t drop the bar from shoulder or above with just 10s or 15s and then complain about the durability. Even if you dropped Rogue plates from this height they’d break just the same. 25s are the bare minimum for over shoulder drops.

A little flimsy

The 10 lb plates are a little flimsy. Even with only 5 more pounds added to the bar. They will bend quite a bit. The heavier plates are probably a little stiffer

Diameters don’t match

Bought the 25 lbs and the 10s and they all match diameter wise except for only one of the 10s is slightly larger. I’m afraid this will cause it to bend with the weight. Not sure why they don’t match but just be aware when purchasing.
