Great basketball for teaching fundamentals

We got this basketball on a recommendation from a friend. It does not disappoint! The hands outlined on the ball are perfect for reinforcing hand placement for our 6 year old. Being able to hold and shoot and pass is great and can start to teach muscle memory. The ball itself is sturdy and inflates well. Great hall and highly recommended!

Wanted to like it.

Bought this for my daughter to help her with her shooting (she's left handed) but this ball has no grip at all and no matter how much we pump it up there is still something about it that makes it seem flat. We ended up buying a regular ball from a local sports store. Don't waste your money on this ball.

This Ball Helps Teach the Right Way to Shoot

This is a great basketball for any parent or coach to get for their young players just learning the game of basketball. This ball has colored hands for proper hand placement on the ball to shoot. The hands on the ball show exactly where to put the players' hands in order to get a good foundation on where to put the hands to shoot the ball. Too often I see young players pushing the ball up to the goal with two hands as they never had anyone show them the correct way. This improper technique can last as I've seen my own junior high players that I coach have a hard time in breaking these bad habits. Get one of these balls for your kid so they can practice shooting the ball the right way. One hand shoots the ball, the over hand is just there to help guide the ball steady until the release and flick of the wrist. I got my own son one of these balls when he was little. He went on to be a successful AAU and varsity player.

We bought these for the kids on the basketball team 5-6 yr olds. They love them and it helped so much teach them where to hold the ball.
