I have been surf fishing for 30 years and thought I had the best rigs to use. I tried one of these on a junky rod and reel, having my "best" rigs on my two great rods and reels. I caught fish all day long--just on that junky rod and reel and just on this rig, ending the day with a monster red drum, so big that it was over the limit and I had to release it! GREAT day of fishing all because of this surf rig. I caught nothing on my other two set up. Needless to say, I order 9 more for my next trip. GREAT RIG!!!! You have to try this!! If you look close at this picture, the rig is still in this drums mouth--a GREAT catch!

Not a Steel Leader

Buyer beware, this rig might catch fish but being made of mono and not a steel leader most toothy saltwater fish will just bite it off!

Better off getting a rig from Walmart

This rig does not hold up. The styrofoam float comes lose and then the line will cut the float. The rig did not last a day in the surf. Hook gets tangled around the rig. Did not catch one fish with this rig. Better off getting a rig from Walmart.
