Not heavy duty, but works great.

This thing works pretty good especially considering the price tag. I don't have any other wind readers/anemometers to compare accuracy with. However, I did use it for shooting at a little over 500 yds in pretty high winds. The readings it gave me when entered into my ballistic app put me on target almost immediately. So for my purposes it seems to do the trick. Little finicky and im sure this could not handle real field abuse, but if you take care of it I am sure it will do the job.

Great Functionality, poor quality

This unit has a lot of useful features, however i was only able to get a couple of uses out of the anemometer before the fan bearing went bad and started wobbling and vibrating at wind speeds over 5mph. I'll still keep it to use as an altimeter and thermometer though.

Great for most users but not all

Great for the price and normal use in normal places but I live a short distance from a place that gets winds above 70 MPH a couple of time or more a year and this unit only goes up to 60 MPH

I would like to a memory option to keep high wind until the unit is turned off. Right now it is only for 60 seconds. But other than that it is very acccurate.

Not very sensitive

Went outside on what felt like a fairly breezy day, it didn't move. Blowing on it works when you get to around 1/1.5 mph. so I guess that's the minimum it registers. I've only tried it the once, need to wait for ice out so I can put the canoes in the water.

Inconsistent but has a peak option

It has some good perceived features. However the speed of Air flow is never consistent. It will find peks but varies when the supply of Air is consistent.

Works very well

Handy for getting weather data for entomology and astronomy. I've never had any issues with batteries, and I've used it well below zero degrees Celsius.
