Clock was not working
Looks like a good sturdy timer, but the inner clock was not working. so it would not trip the on switch at the set time

Check the box.
I ordered the correct part number for the 120v timer and the stocking label put on by Amazon was correct but it was on a box for the 208v timer. Online return started and had the correct 120v timer the next day.

Installed in April 2021, failed in July 2022, can be reoiled
Was happy when it was first installed in April 2021, In July 2022 it started getting erratic, the timer stopped advancing but I could hear motor noise after I manually turned it and reset the time. Today it doesn't make any motor noise so it only works as a manually operated power switch. Behind the timer dial the motor has opening covered with tape. Before I order another timer, have tried to inject some white lithium grease from a spray can. ***Update after grease the timer did not start the next day, so tried some 0w20 synthetic oil injected from a dropper and it has worked for 2 days. the white lithium grease spray can said safe for plastic, Possible the plastic clock needs to be filled with lithium grease by opening both of the taped holes so grease can be sprayed until it comes out of the other hole. The attached chart shows which oils are compatible with different plastics. silicone and teflon seem to be most compatible. The problem is synthetic oil may not show the base oil type, and the plastic type is also unknown. One benefit of this timer is the plastic keys for setting the on/off times. You don't need to use tools to change the on/off times as you would with metal trippers.

Easy to install
Easy to install, easy to wire up. I'd have given it 5 stars if the operating instructions were better. It would seem easy enough. The manual switch is either on or off. I programmed it and turned it on. It never went off at the programmed time. So I turned it off. It came back on at the programmed time, then shut off at the programmed time. So that's the key. Program it and turn it off. So "off" means under program control and "on" means ON. So apparently there is no actual off. I have to unplug the timed appliance when I want it off. It would seem reasonable to have a 3 way switch... On, Off, Timed.

Have our poll pump wired to it and it works great. Very well built and weatherproof. Not a cheap plastic timer

Dependable mechanical timer....
Plastic stuff is not quite as rugged as metal, we know that, and when it comes to -30F, things stop working pretty fast. This timer held up, I installed a -58F rated extension cord with this in the middle to make a durable vehicle plug in timer. So far so good!

Well Built & Moisture Proof
We bought four of these to use on the farm for controlling block heaters on tractors and semi trailer trucks. Three of them are mounted outside and have worked very well with no water and snow getting into them. They have 30 minute interval settings on a 24 hour clock so you can get any combination you need. We experience temperatures down to minus 45 C at times during the winter months and these worked well. Well built, easy to wire up, just what we were looking for to reduce our power useage.
