not hot for long

this carafe is attractive enough and easy to clean. However, after two hours the coffee is tepid at best. The carafe I had to replace kept it very warm for several hours.

GOOD VALUE FOR THE PRICE

Although it holds closer to 40 oz (not 42), the carafe works well & a good value for the price. My only complaint is it came with no instructions (not that you really need them) but when I first used it, I preheated it with hot water for about 5 minutes an hour, then put in hot coffee, which stayed hot for only about 30 min, then became barely lukewarm. So it would be nice to have some details, like how to preheat it so beverages stay hot longer, or how to properly clean it, etc. I did contact the maker (Tiger Chef) who were of NO HELP WHATSOEVER other than to tell me any instructions would be on the package or on the item itself. The only info was "HAND WASH" on the bottom. Now I put boiling water in it for an hour+ before adding any hot beverage & it works fine. So all in all not bad for the price.

Does NOT Keep Coffee Hot

Looks fine and works for immediate serving of hot coffee; however, does not keep beverage warm for any length of time. Not an insulated carafe.

It looks very nice, but......It really doesn't keep the coffee hot very long. I'm giving it three stars because it looks nice on the table.
