Angel Food cake pan

The pan was great for baking and removing the angel food cake, but it was a bit more challenging to get the pan clean afterwards. The pan did suffer a minor dent in the bottom edge in one place due to the shipping process though I don't think that that made it harder to clean. The packaging was also torn in the shipping due to the way the pan was made at the top....easy to puncture holes in the plastic shipping bag. It probably would have been better packing it in a box of some sort.... Overall, I was satisfied with the purchase.

Great Pan, easy cleanup

Bought the pan to make an easy angel food cake (1 angel food cake mix, 20 ounce can of crushed pineapple with juice, 1 cup sweetened coconut- mix, bake following cake instructions). The pan works perfectly and cleans up easily

Typical old fashioned angel food cake pan

Okay, this pan was one of only two angle food cake pans that was not a non-stick cake pan. Seriously?! I cannot believe there’s a market for non-stick angle food cake pans. How does someone make a proper angle food cake in a non-stick pan?! When you’re angel food cake is taken out of the oven, turned over to hang while cooling. HOT Slide-out disaster all over the kitchen countertop with a huge deflated mess to clean up. This pan is not non-stick and the hot cake can cling to the pan hanging upside down until completely cooled like it’s supposed to do. Seriously this it this is Jr High Home Econ class stuff.

First time making Angel Food Cake!

I purchased this pan in order to make an angel food cake for my son's first birthday. Now, I'm no baker and that's that really anything new. So when I received this pan, I was a bit confused as to why the whole center pulled out (It definitely makes sense after using it :-)) I was so afraid that this pan would leak that I put water in it, and sure enough, the water leaked out. However, what I did not understand, is Angel food cake batter is thicker than water and did not, in fact, leak out. It made the perfect, spongy, well done angel food cake. The pan itself seems durable, and since it does come apart, easy to clean. I definitely think it was worth the money I paid.

I love this Wilton Angel Food Pan 10 inch !!!. Perfect for my chiffon cake recipe!. Super easy to remove the cake from the pan. Tips to remove the cake from the tube pan: - Upside down the pan & let it cool down completely, for me it took about 2 hours. - After it cool down, turn it up and put the tip of thin blade knife (about 1/5 inch deep with minimum 4.5 inch long) and go around it completely. - Insert bamboo skewer between the chiffon cake and the funnel, and go around it. - Turn the cake pan over, press down the bottom firmly. It will pop-up cleanly. - On the bottom of the cake, push the knife in until it hits the funnel, and go all the way around it. Tips to use tube pan for chiffon cake: Purchase the right size pan for your cake recipe. (If too small, your cake shape will looks like ‘mushroom shape’ or looks overloaded) DO NOT grease the pan. Great product in every aspect!

Amazing product is used all the time and is very useful to make sponge look stunning with no effort. Wonderful product and will definitely be buying another again.

Good pan.

It's a decently made cake pan, which released the angel food cake I tried it out with, with little issue. Hand washed easily with a plastic scrubber. The wall thickness isn't flimsy, but isn't overly beefy either. With a little care, I'm sure it will last.
