Soft and perfect.

When I saw the theme of my river otter-loving granddaughter's 7th birthday party was "Otterrific", I immediately went online and found/ordered this. It was love at first sight, and I'll never get over the look on her face when she opened the package. She named it immediately, as if she'd always had the otter name chosen, and was just waiting. "Molly the otter" and she are now inseparable. So soft, so cuddly, such a sweet face. Absolutely perfect!

So freaking soft with the fur.

I ordered this as a gift for my wife and it is so fluffy. She fell asleep snuggling it. Adorable plush that is worth the price. You could say it is otterly adorable.

(Almost) Perfect Otter Plushie

Wild Republic makes the best stuffed animals, and this is no exception. This otter is even cuter in person, super soft, and stuffed just right-- firm enough to hold his shape but squishy enough to be huggable. Edit: Well, I had to deduct 1 star as I found a small hole on one of the seams a few hours after writing the above. Easy enough to sew up, but still a little disappointing.

Perfect

I purchased this for my nephew, who has the discerning taste to love otters. And who doesn't? They're adorable, lively, smart, interesting, and fun. Yes, I love them too. And my nephew. He actually wanted a spongy squishy otter (available in the Bulls Eye area of Target Stores as a promotional item only). But I regret that those otters were only available for a short period of time and have been proven inadequate against the overwhelming love of an enthusiastic four-year-old boy. (It was mine that was so loved, purchased during the Christmas holidays; that sad little otter is in a squishy hospital and can't see any visitors under age 12. Those things should come with age limits.) So, this was a substitute. And here's the thing: I was living in fear that this otter would remind him of the squishy otter, and I would have to write/call/beg Target customer service for the last squishy on earth for my nephew. But the good news is, he loved this otter so much, if he remembered, he didn't care. This otter is soft, shiny, perfectly sized for children (and adults, FYI) and - hooray - actually looks like an otter. It's the perfect compromise between the stunningly authentic, but pocket-book impacting, authentic plush otters that are designed for adults (definitely NOT four-year olds), and the oddly shapeless "otters" that you think might be member of the weasel family but also could be hedgehogs or seals in plush form. And my nephew loves his new plushy.

this river otter stuffed item is just perfect. It's a good size, very soft and cuddly, really cute, and well made. everyone in the family absolutely love it. It's a great price for what you get and would definitely make a great gift. It actually looks just like the pictures. Very soft, great size, super cute

This toy arrived exactly as it looks in the photo. It is a really good size and super soft too. It doesn't seem to have any whiskers but it doesn't really take too much away from how it looks. Very happy with him.
