Worth its weight in gold

I recently laid a pex type plastic 3/4” pipe to my shop and had to tie the plastic piping into pvc for my faucet and this was a life saver, the design makes this thing bulletproof as far as leaking I will most definitely be ordering more to keep on hand. A lot cheaper than pex fittings and just as reliable if not more.

Worked perfectly for me

The media could not be loaded. Landscapers cut the 3/4” rainbird irrigation pipe with shovel causing a leak. Cut the broken section out, bought a new section of pipe at Lowe’s and used this gizmo to connect the ends securely with no leakage.

Easy to insert into the tubing and the Hand tightening nut

The fittings were easy to press all the way into the Tubing and tightening the nut on the thick PP tubing. I was surprised that they were so easy to assemble and the fittings had No leaks even after 1 month of constant 50 PSI pressure on the the tubing.

Can't trust it.

I used it on a commercial 3/4 hose from home depot. When you tighten it down it tends to push the hose off instead of riding up and over it. So it only catches on the end of the hose. Can not trust leaving the water turned on.. I would think that on a thicker hose it would not work at all. If it can only be used on a cheap thin hose then why bother repairing it just buy a new hose.

i bought this to repair a poly pipe, one reviewer says the hose tends to slip off the coupling end, another says wrap some duct tape to the end to prevent slipping, I think the hose slips because the hose is not pushed in far enough..... my photo shows when the blue nut butts against the raised tab, my hose is pushed almost next to it, this way it rides over the coupling about an inch, I used a hair dryer to soften the hose and it was very easy to push it in, or use some warmer water.....i tightened the right side nut and then unscrewed it just to check, the hose did not move, I re-tightened and the connection is leak free I initially bought a poly coupling and some hose clamps from Ace Hardware, while I think that would work also, this ANKA product is stronger, the middle part is thicker than the small Ace coupling. the nut feels stronger than regular plastic, once the nuts are tightened the connection is very secure
