Sturdy
This is a wonderful handle to help us older people get into our spa. It is made well and no missing screws or bolts. The only drawback is after a lot of rain the screw and nuts have rust around them. I will spray them with black Rust-Oleum paint. Easy enough fix.

So sturdy!
Very sturdy for entry and exit as it holds our full weight as we pull ourselves out of the tub! Great for us as senior citizens to have this added stability. Highly recommend this product.

Hot Tub needs to be empty if you wish to install this correctly
Got this because I thought I'd like to not have to drill into my concrete or into the new Tub. The idea is simple...put this under the hot tub, and the weight of the tub holds it down. Great...if you're able to lift up the tub, which I won't be able to do until I refill...which by then, I'll learn to live without this. Also, I do have a concern that isn't mentioned in the packaging and instructions. The base plate is approximately 1/4 thick steel...but on a hard surface, even that might be enough to crack the base of the hot tub if the base is a hard as well (concrete). When I refill, might modify the edge of the base plate by grinding down and making more gradual transition than the current 1/4 square lip. Or not use it at all. It does what it's supposed to...just wasn't overtly impressed.

Bad experiance
Seems promising - I hope it works. I won't know for a few days. Why - because I had to re-drill the hole for the bolt that runs through the main pole. Seems the Chinese didn't keep track of the ends. When the main pole is attached to the base plate, the angled supports that tie together on the pole miss the pole hole by an inch or so. If I turn the pole over the three pieces line up. However, the threads for attaching to the plate are now pointing up. This is steel so I have to re-paint to mitigate rusting where the new hole was made. Another gripe is that the manufacturer could not be bothered to provide more detail on how assembly should be done; e.g. which parts go where. Not difficult to figure out but... come on.

This was a pre-used product with multiple signs of wear.
I liked the product. At first I saw a few nicks and then I noticed abrasion signs and thumb-like depressions on the foam handle. So I guess this was a pre-used product and for this price I want a new one.

Make sure it slides under your tub!
This is a very solid product, and it has definitely made getting in and out of the tub much easier for us. The problem is that the base doesn't fit under the tub! It would have fit under our previous tub, but the one we got this spring has less than 1/4" clearance between the bottom and the deck. So... you can't slide the base underneath and use the weight of the tub itself to stabilize the handrail. So, I set it sideways, with the base underneath the steps, and I put some cement blocks on top to keep it weighted down. That's not as sturdy as it could be, but at least it works. The other problem is that the rubber sleeve that is supposed to fit over the metal tubing to keep it warmer o the touch just barely slips on, and it's virtually impossible to slip it around the curve to go where it should, so we couldn't use it.

Very Sturdy and Easy to Assemble
Very heavy duty, sturdy when assembled and installed. Assembly instructions very simple but it took some reverse engineering to figure out how to utilize the handrail at the lower height. And, for my application the higher height was more suitable. The “hard” part was sliding the bracket under the spa. Luckily I installed the same day the spa was serviced as the technician needed to empty the spa to install a new jet pump. I used a 7’ heavy duty steel crow bar, a concrete block fulcrum and a ledger board under the spa edge to lift up the empty spa 1/4” while my wife (thanks Honey Bunny) moved the handrail base plate into position. Total handrail assembly time about 10 minutes and another 10 minutes to position the base plate properly under the spa base. There was one small saw cut (probably a manufacturing boo boo) in the handrail riser but I’ll cover that up with a dab of black Rustoleum paint. That was the only quality defect in this product.

The product maker should consider a better paint to stop the rust that shows up in the base.
Apply protective paint on product so it will not show immediate rust. Knobs would be stainless so they will not rust either. Just saying. Hopefully a helpful comment.
