old school cool
I'm a skinny kid, so take it with a grain of salt. I'm also crazy about that retro cool look. These are not modern swim wear. They ride high, almost to the bellybutton. The button fly is a little obnoxious with cold, pruned, fingers. The leg holes ride up a bit. These are supposed to fit tight, so on sizing err on the smaller end and exchange if you absolutely must. If they fit too loose in the leg holes, well, you could have something embarrassing slip out. Bear in mind that these aren't shorts; If you wouldn't wear a speedo, don't bother with these. They are not constructed for modesty. My only gripe, and this is me being a wimp, that the material is a little scratchy and I chafed a little. I know, it's tragic.

So-so shorts!
I think the UDT Shorts are overpriced, but they were a gift. Fortunately another customer wrote to get a size larger as they run small. If products are made in Asian countries, can someone please tell the manufacturers to make them according to realistic sizes as are the norm in the U S? Even better, since the shorts are overpriced anyway, why not make them in the U S and charge me $3 more? That's a better idea, I think.

way too small
I wear a size 30 pants which fit snug but comfortable. I couldn't even get the button fastened. Maybe they size modern pants to flatter.Will try other sizes. They are good, sturdy looking shorts though.

Does not run small as most have reviewed
I read a bunch of reviews stating that these shorts were going to run small. That wasn't the case for me. I think some people state that they are small because the belt line comes up to your belly button but as long as your waist is as stated you can always fond the belt line down ( that's what I do ).

So small couldn’t even get on one leg. Order in my husbands usual size 32/34 and these would probably fit my six year old.
