At around $7, it was a real low-cost and easy fix. It fit perfectly into the 3/4 inch Lawn Genie. Thanks others for discovering that.

Not the right part for the job

It was not the right part for the job. I had to return the parts and get different parts.

Best deal - easy fix on Irritrol 1000 series control valve

Never had to fix a control valve before (mine would not shut off). My 3/4" Irrritrol valve (1001-1990) simply had a screw-off top and the diaphragm lay right on top. Many problems with these valves involve debris inside, but mine was clean. I lifted the diaphragm out and saw it had a tear at the seam. When I looked to replace it, there were a confusing number of similar parts, but none referencing my particular valve. After reading reviews on this one, I decided to try it. It fit perfectly and the valve now works as it should. It was also on sale for $7.13 - a bargain. I don't know what the long term dependability will be, but it looks to be a genuine Toro part for their Jar Top Valve #53804. I bought 3 more today as I have a 4 zone system all installed at the same time, so I plan to be prepared.

Works great in my Lawn Genie valve...

This worked to stop a leak on one of my Lawn Genie valves, however, I had to take out the plastic collar that was around the old diaphragm for it to fit properly. Wish there were better instructions on how to get this fit properly, but it did stop a leak so that's that...

I rebuilt because of the valve box environment. Install was easy, product works as expected. No leaks.

I replaced all four of mine while I was in there. Took a little over an hour to disassemble, clean, lubricate, and reassemble everything including new solenoids and I was taking my time. In the typical valve box dirt and debris are everywhere, so I was just extra careful to try to avoid leaks. Others have pointed out that the entire jar valve doesn't cost much more than the solenoid and diaphragm. I chose to rebuild because the water lines are just under the surface of the soil in this installation (gives a little protection against an unexpected late spring freeze). It would have been a dirty job to replace all of the valves, and I didn't want dirt getting in the water lines and messing up the sprinkler heads. Something to consider when you're fixing a bad valve.

Nice Part!

Saves you from having to purchase a complete replacement valve. This is the part that normally goes bad in the irrigation valves.
