oxo rocks

I love oxo products. Bang for buck you can't beat them and even better is their customer service. What is there to say? It works,it's flexible but sturdy,and the bevel on the edge is nice and sharp,not a blunt edge. Get cooking friends

Use for cooking fish- and flipping pancakes

Endlessly versatile spatula, brilliantly flipped pancakes this morning. Easily maneuvered in a crowded skillet, made Sunday breakfast a snap. Oh, and it’s great for cooking fish without the filet breaking apart!

This spatula is cutting the heck out of my cookware

I really like Oxo products in general, and I was ready to like this, too, but I cannot recommend this spatula because there seem to be finishing issues on its edge. I use carbon steel and I simply cannot use this without putting large gashes in the seasoning even when just flipping a pancake. This isn't normal: I'm not 100% certain what the issue is, best guess is there are are micro-serrations on the edge of the blade given the rough feel, but I've had to stop using this spatula and turn back to the spatula I was hoping to replace. I would hesitate to use this in expensive cookware (and—not that you should be doing this anyway—but don't even think about touching a non-stick pan with this). I've seen at least one other reviewer have the same problem, and I wish I'd believed him. Also – and this is on me for not reading the product description properly, not on Oxo – this is a BIG, LONG spatula, certainly too big for my tastes. If you're working in a really big pan over high heat, the size and reach might be a plus, but it I find it unwieldy for everyday cooking.

Should have bought one sooner

This replaced a flimsy dollar store flexible, silicone spatula, and boy howdy was it an upgrade. Cleans up great, sturdy with just a bit of flex, incredibly thin. Perfect for pancakes and eggs and anything else relatively delicate you want to flip on over.

I’ve been looking for a thin pancake turner & saw one similar to this called a fish turner in a YouTube cooking video so googled it. It works great for flipping French toast, omelettes & pancakes. Love the grip.

Comfortable, precise, and durable.

The grip, like all of the Oxo Good Grips, is comfortable and secure. The turner itself is thin and precise enough to deal with delicate fish, or even to make eggs ‘over easy’ without breaking the runny yolk.

A Practical Fish Turner

Not a lot to say except that this is a practical fish turner. It does exactly what I expected of it. It's a nice length and the end is bevelled to get underneath the fish without cutting into it. I know it's not a complex device but the design has been well thought out. I like it a lot. It also has a nice handle with a good grip.

Wish we'd bought one of these years ago!

This is an excellent kitchen tool. It is flexible and large enough so that you can scoup out a whole fish from a pan. The quality is that of a professional piece of equipment and I would certainly consider buying other items from this range in future.
