Knife sharpening
Was going to buy a new 2x72 sander/grinder for the shop, but decided to use the existing 4x36 belt sander for now. I am using these belts to sharpen knives and had great success in getting a nice sharp edge and polish. Using a 440, then 660 and into the 1000 grit and a final buff. I am very happy with this choice which saved me $900. - 1200. For a high quality 2x72 unit. Will continue to use these belts for unite a long time.

Pretty good, watch out for the glue line
These fit my sander perfectly. However, because of where they are glued they tend to vibrate like crazy when the sander is turned on, giving the wood I am working on a uneaven sanding job. Other than that, they are great. Don't use them for heavy duty jobs, they will quickly strip. I still will be using them, but for sturdier projects that won't be as affected by the constant thumping of the glue line.
