Size was not the one I ordered. It is a size bigger. It is close enough and he'll grow into it, so I'm not returning it.

Fantastic!

This hat was great for my grandson at the beach. It stayed on and shaded him beautifully. It is water resistant and lightweight. The only negative is that it does not have the blue wave pattern as shown in the picture. :(

Great! Cute for baby!

I love that there's a wide rim to cover my baby from the sun. The perforated holes in the hat keeps my baby's head cooler. The chin strap is a plus but doesn't keep my baby from ripping it off from his head from time to time. The hat does stay on most of the time though. I have washed it several times in a laundry bag and air dried it. The hat still looks good. I get compliments about how cute the hat looks on my baby frequently. There aren't too many color options for boys so I got the tan color. It almost resembles a cowboy hat. The 12-24 month size is still a little too big on my one year old. I have to pull it back from covering his eyes from time to time. But I expect he will grow into it after a while.

Perfect for my 1 year old

My daughter is extremely fair skinned, but also runs very hot. Most hats I have put on her overheat her. I went looking for one with mesh specifically to avoid that issue. This hat fit the bill and has been wonderful. In terms of sizing, it fits her 89th percentile 1 year old head with enough room to spare without being too big. (Most 12-24 month hats fit too tightly, so having it loose is a nice change.) I can see how it might be giant on babies with average sized heads, but there is a cord that can tighten the hat circumference if necessary, and babies grow FAST anyway. The only negative is the price, but the quality is undeniable and it was worth the purchase for us.

Wrong size description

Hat is great in terms of design and function. However, either Sunday Afternoon or Amazon need to straighten out their description to correct the sizing. Ordered what was described as being a baby hat, and ended up getting a large kids size instead. Now, I have to waste my time sending it back.

Top hat!

Love these hats for the grandkids. I sew a couple novelty buttons, feathers or appliques onto each one so they know which one is his/hers and to more fun to wear. They are nice, lightweight, vented and have an adjustable chin strap, so the kids keep them on.

Very good quality

My baby is 2 months old with head size 16". The hat is too big and loose but I cannot wait for my baby to start wearing it. Luckily, we live in Hawaii where it's always sunny so i will eventually get to use the hat. It seems to be of a great quality.
