Easy to use
I bought this because my sewing room is in our attic. I spend a fair amount of time up there. We have no windows overlooking the driveway. So I am always missing people when they stop over. This little gadget solved that problem for me. It sits in the kitchen, facing the door. I can see out the window thru the porch so now I know when someone comes over. It was easy to set up and I have had no issues figuring out how to use it. I also actually did use it as a baby monitor when my grandson came over. It worked great for nap time. Grandma didn't have to keep running into the room to make sure he was ok. Peace of mind was a bonus I didn't expect when I bought this. Overall very happy with it. Works great as a door monitor and also as a baby monitor.

The Best Bang for Under $100
I used the summer infant glimpse plus camera for about a month before writing this review. I absolutely love this camera. First let me give you some background on why I chose the summer infant glimpse plus. I originally bought a nest cam a few months ago because it allowed me the ability to watch my baby from anywhere in the world. The problem I continuously encountered was WiFi connectivity issues and when traveling with the cam the inability to connect to a guest network. I already made a big investment in the nest, so I decided to try the summer infant glimpse plus because of the price. You won’t find a better camera for under $100. The picture is crisp in color or night vision. The handheld monitor has nice battery life. Most importantly I never have connectivity issues. Even when we travel, we can have this camera up and running in seconds. I wish I would have bought this camera first.

Temp sensor is wonky. Bright screen
Love the Glimpse+. Decent night vision quality. Very bright monitor at night, wished I could tone down the brightness further. The regular Glimpse could dim further than this version. The temperature is usually off by a couple degrees, so I don’t rely on it for accuracy but simply to monitor if it’s getting warmer/cooler in baby’s room. Wished this came with and extra cord so that the un/plugging and carrying the charge cord into another room didn’t always have to happen. But the battery life is decent for naps.

Buy this product from an actual store!
Bought this baby monitor from Amazon. I was happy with its arrival. It worked well and did everything it advertised. Within two weeks the battery died and I had to keep it plugged in order to use it. I later found that the connector cord on the battery pack was loose to the connecter on the monitor. Instead of contacting the seller or the company, I got the battery pack out of an old Summer monitor that was compatible and I am currently using this device again. It still works. However, there are other electronic devices I have ordered online through Amazon that ended up dying on me. So I refuse to buy electronics online anymore. This monitor is currently functioning and I no longer have to keep it plugged into the wall in order to use it. Had I had bought it from an actual store, like I did the first Summer monitor I owed, I doubt that I would have ever had this problem to begin with.

Perfect as a doggy Monitor Too!
Our dog is elderly and started needs to go out regularly, so we got this to hear him when he needs to be let out at night. We're on the third floor, he's down in the basement. I was concerned that the signal wouldn't reach all the way up, be it worked great. The video isn't that great, but works if you don't need a super-detailed view. It does zoom in a bit, but only into the middle of the screen. We already had a nest down in the basement, but I needed something that doesn't use my phone or computer all the time. I also like that it's portable so we can take it outside or to a neighbors' if they watch him for us and we don't have to worry about having them login to anything just to keep an eye on him.

Great but only 4 hours of batter life .
I love this monitor. Picture quality is very good and the screen is just the perfect size not oo big not too small . My only complaint is the batter only lasts about four hours .even if I leave it charging for 7 on or off the batter life stays the same. If you are looking for a monitor with long battery this isn't for you . Besides that I totally recommend it .

Flawed.
I am struggling to like this camera. For the price, it’s fine but there are some flaws. First, the dimmest the screen goes is still extremely bright, bright enough to light a room. Second, the volume is either nonexistent or way too loud. There is no in between with the volume. Third, the video goes into “power save mode” and shuts off after 30 seconds unless the unit is plugged in. This makes it difficult/annoying to make the camera portable as you have to touch a button every time you want to physically see your child. It does have the option for “vox” which will turn the screen on when noise is detected but I found that a flashing screen is pretty annoying. I have bought a second camera due to another baby on the way and I’m hoping that pairing them is easy.

I LOVE IT!
It's our second baby monitor from SUMMER. Unfortunately the first one after a year was damaged by our dog, we wanted to get the same, but it was available only with two cameras, which we didn't need. After that we bought a baby monitor from other brand - it was disaster! I have returned it and I knew that I need a SUMMER one again, and I was right. It is super easy to use, very affordable, the camera is pretty small, very practical, sound, night vision etc is good as well. We definetely doesn't need anything more :) Highly recommended.

BEWARE
I can't begin to describe how disappointed I am in the decline of both the quality and costumer service of Summer. Our first monitor was 7.5 years old when it was dropped outside this summer and the screen (understandably) cracked. The monitor still worked, however due to the crack, I retired this unit to my mother in laws for back up and purchased this one. The quality did not seem to compare, however I was hopeful it would get us through the amount of time we needed it for our youngest. The monitor was completely fine and had spend two days plugged in on my bedside table untouched. I awoke one morning to find a large black cloud obscuring view almost entirely. There was not ONE visible scratch, dent or crack from the outside at ALL. As the monitor was less than 4 months old, I reached out to Summer to be told it was in interior crack of the screen due to accidental damage therefore not covered. I am positive there is no possibility the monitor had even been touched by anyone other than myself in the time it went from operating with no issue to this. Again no mark whatsoever on the outside. Based on the falls and wear and tear of our previous model with no issue, again I am SHOCKED by the deterioration in quality and very disappointed by the response of Summer to our issue. Its really sad to see a company sell out like this, but I have no doubt they will pay the price in the long term. I for one will make sure I share my poor experience with as many people as I would if it were a positive one, and this will be the LAST summer product I purchase.

Short battery life!!!!
While this is an excellent camera and price... the battery life seems to be only in the 5-6 hour range. That is great for naps but could be very upsetting to Mom who cannot hear a crying baby if they did not plug in the adaptor at bedtime to recharge the unit. It will not last overnight! You MUST plug it in every single night.

Terrible product. This company is putting out terrible, barely working cameras / monitors. Even the replacements are worthless. The customer service is even worse. Lady was rude, yelled, and told me to be quite ever chance she got. Don’t buy and waste your time.

Great for the price!
Overall, I love this camera. Good screen size, durable (I’ve dropped it several times), and it’s simple to use. Battery life on the parent unit isn’t amazing, but I just leave it plugged in if I’m sitting in the living room and take it with me any time I move from there. It’s never died on me unless I left it on inplugged overnight. Great value for the price! I like that I had the option for two cameras - now I have one for the bedroom and one for the living room.
