Runs SMALL!

We ordered this for our 10.5 year old daughter. She is very tall, but also very very thin! Typically she could wear a size 8-10 in terms of her weight, but due to height I always buy her 10-12 or adult xs. This didn't look awkward with her height (sleeves and length were ok)... but this was hard to get on without damaging (which was terrifying because she had to take it to school and get dressed there). The quality was what I expected from a store bought costume in this price range so that wasn't disappointing; however, if your kid is anything other than a string bean like mine, order up!!!!! This would be easy to hem or pin (the apron would hide it even if you had to staple it shorter), but there is no give in the waist width wise! Oh yes and this was purchased for a Harriet Tubman wax museum project and it was a hit. (We ordered the Large for our 10.5 yr old who is about 5'1" and around 90 pounds. I'm including the best pic I got cropped for privacy... you can see that it's short on the arms but not bad. And my daughter isn't a pound overweight nor does she have any baby fat and this 10-12 costume was SNUG. I'd say this fit her the same as a Medium costume typically would) The three star rating is for the costume being what we needed but nothing special, and had my daughter not been super thin this would have been a waste of money! Don't label something 10-12 that a THIN 10 year old can barely fit in!

Good costume, but we were shipped the wrong size

The costume looks really good and at a great price. My only complaint is that I ordered a kids large and got an adult size. We didn't have time to return it and just made it work with some temporary hem. Thank goodness my kiddo is on the taller side or she would've been without a costume for her event.

Nice display costume

Decent quality for a costume. Nothing exceptional but good for the money. Bought correct size by charts and it fit snugly to a size 2 mannequin for a display.

This is a cute costume, but runs extremely small. Order the large for my granddaughter to wear to a school event. She is 9 and the large "barely" fit her. It was really tight, but we made it work. Just be aware that the size chart is not accurate.

Darling

I ordered this for my daughter so she could use it as a "Clara Barton" costume. We left off the hat and added a broach and she was set to go! It was just darling on her! Also, it is true to size which I was happy about. She got so many compliments that day!

She loved it! It was a little long

I bought this for my daughter's Thanksgiving play at school. She loved it! It was a little long, but was easily tied and bloused at the waist to make it just right. It's very nice fabric for the price and it looks great!

I loved it all and I used this costume for my daughters school day themed colonial day. She had a blast!
