Appears to match OEM carb EXACTLY.
This carb, while a few bucks more than the $10-$15 knockoffs, appears to be IDENTICAL to the OEM carb on my 25 year old MTD snowblower. The only thing to know is that the two holes in the body casting that receive the screws to attach it to the mounting plate are not pre-tapped. However, the screws that came out of my old unit were self-tapping screws. All I had to do was get them started into the holes nice and straight, and then put some good forward pressure on the screws as I screwed them into the new body casting. They threaded right in. I recommend doing this ahead of time while the carb can be held firmly in your hand or in a bench vise. Then, back out the screws before installing the carb onto your engine; this will save you some frustration versus trying to thread them in while you're trying to attach it to your machine. At just under $50, my cost per year of usage on the original carb comes out to just $2 per year; that's cheaper than one shear pin. Looking forward to getting another 25 years of use from my machine.

Paid the extra money to get the carb that was made in USA as was the OEM. The ad clearly states country of origin: United States in multiple places. Product received is marked as “Made in China”. It’s the never ending issue with Amazon.
