Does the job
Since the bed rail requires maneuvering the mattress it can be a little tricky to setup. The installation of the strap takes a little forethought but once installed works fine. The strap does not get wrapped around the box spring, which another reviewer said, but does get tied to the bed frame opposite the bed rail. (Wrapping the strap around the box spring of a twin might be possible but not really necessary since you still should anchor it to the frame.) In positioning the rail I'd suggest, after you get the actual rail together, drop the rail mechanism down (pull pins) and then insert the arms under the mattress. Then tie the strap to the bed frame on the opposite side-per the instructions. The cardboard box, that the bed rail came in, was partially wet and coming apart when I got it - I thought it was going to be damaged or missing parts-which wasn't the case. In addition to preventing you from rolling out of bed the bed rail helps in pulling yourself up to get out of bed. Finally, hopefully this will prevent me from falling out of bed from REM sleep disorder.

Box arrived, all parts included. Instructions were clear. Resolved a problem with Fixed bars where lifting a patient in and out of bed became a challenge.

Bought To Lean Against
I actually bought this to keep my body pillow in place and to lean against for comfort. Reminds me of sleeping on the couch. I wanted something sturdy and with the right length and height since I do have a thick mattress. It works perfectly for what I wanted it for.

Upon arrival and opening up the package, there were no instructions and the screws were scattered everywhere in the box. There was a sandwich bag but no contents inside. Hopefully, there’s no issues with it since it looks like a return.

Perfect!
This is just what I was looking for! The only issue is getting the strap in between the mattresses if you have a heavy top mattress and are older. It's very sturdy, it has some very handy organizational pockets, it does exactly what it says it does, keeps you from falling out of bed. It's also good for getting up from a seated position on the bed to brace yourself. It does go about 2/3 of the way down on a standard queen mattress so getting in and out is going to be different than what you are used to. To get out you have to move towards the bottom of the bed to swing your legs out and getting in you get in at a lower spot on the bed. You can place it anywhere vertically, all the way at the top or the middle of the bed or bottom. Pretty versatile. I would say if you don't want to have those issues get the smaller one that isn't as wide. Very happy with this purchase!

I bought this item as my mum kept slipping out of bed. It has really reduced my stress levels as she is kept safe in her bed. It took a little bit of adjusting however now she feels safe too. The rail is easy to put together and is good quality.

Very happy with this purchase
I'm very happy with my purchase of this bedrail. It is a bit longer than I anticipated it would be but for this reason helps my mom remain higher up on the bed and not as easily sliding off. The pockets are the best for all of you controllers. This bedrail is easily attached to a adjustable bed and is quite secure for my mother.

Easy set up!
The product arrived on time. Easy instructions made set up a breeze. Be sure to check your bed clearance dimensions before purchasing. A single bed mattress is not thick enough to completely cover the pin rail. The interlocking lock at the foot is a great idea. I use this rail with a fixed unit, allowing for complete head to toe coverage ( and safety). I recommend this product!
