More gold than expected

Buying cosmetics online when you've never seen them is a frustrating experience. I was hoping for a more beige color but decided to try this since I am a longtime Lorac fan. It turned out to be a very glittery gold made with that ultra fine glitter that gets all over everything. I am too old for the Tinkerbelle look but if you like that, this stuff is perfect for you.

Is this real?

Is this real lorac??. I used to LOVE this lorac color and now this doesn’t even show up and fades in 5 minutes after 5 layers applied. Seems like super cheap product. How do I know what’s real anymore??

After an Hour, It's Just Glitter

This was sent well wrapped with bubble wrap, and in my experience decades ago selling cosmetics, when a cream-based pot cracked and/or the makeup pulled away from edges of the container, it was almost always because it was older inventory that had lost too much of it's moisture content. When some of the water evaporates, it essentially shrinks. I don't know if that's the case with the pot of Lorac eye color in Satin that I received. It looks more like a taupe color but it went on like more of a gold, but I liked it. It also has a really, really nice silky feel to it. It just glides over your skin. I'm usually hesitant to get creme eye color because it doesn't usually go on as smoothly as this does. I initially placed it on my brow bone and inner eye corners. However, every time I tried to blend the edges, it was like the gold color disappeared but the sparkly-glitter specks remained. It was neither a color nor a highlighter. It was just sparkle, and that wasn't what I wanted. The next time, I put it on but didn't blend it. Within an hour, the gold color had disappeared and I was left with the sparkles again. So, I could get past the crack, and liked the feel of it going on, but the end result isn't as expected.

High pigmentation, the texture is powdery-creamy!

I really like Lorac makeup products and I couldn't wait to try this eye shadow. It comes in a small size container and the color is absolutely beautiful and a little darker than swatch pictures. The texture is creamy- powdery but it still works with any eyeshadow brushes but you can also use concealer brushes to apply it. The pigmentation is high but it's full of glitter so it works better for night eye makeup rather than daily use.

Amazing!

The media could not be loaded. As a makeup artist, I always like to have a golden cream eyeshadow that is very easy to blend. This cream shadow has met all my expectations. It works well with different types of skin and different types of tones.

Pretty, but definitely not a cream

This arrived broken, chunky and dry. I was still able to apply to my lids but I would be annoyed if I paid full price for this.

The media could not be loaded. LORAC Lorac Lux Diamond Cream Eye Shadow – Satin -I was truly thrilled to try the LORAC Lux Diamond Cream eye shadow in Satin. The LORAC brand is very respected in the beauty industry so I expected a creamy and flawless eye shadow. Unfortunately, the eyeshadow wasn’t as creamy and smooth as I had hoped it would be. It appeared to be somewhat dried out and brittle as you can see in the pictures. The eye shadow popped out when I flipped the container sideways. I decided to apply it with my finger as the brush didn’t pick up any of the product. Like any other eyeshadow, multiple layers deepen the color and shine. I liked that it didn’t produce any irritation, and I removed it easily with a Kleenex and water.

Not a Cream, but Gorgeous Luster!

So this creme eyeshadow is definitely not a cream (or maybe it was but now it's dried and cracked); it does have a gorgeous luster though when applied. Application is pretty smooth and it's very buildable. On it's own the Satin color has a nice golden sheen that's very sparkly. It's easily layered over other shadows to give more depth to the color. When I used a primer before applying, the shadow stayed put all day and did not crease. While I like the product, I'm not thrilled that it's all crumbled and makes it a little more difficult to get onto an applicator or brush.
